Biography
Aroth Arros Stonecaster simply appeared at Jixaron one day in front of the Council of Archmagi, asking to join Jixaron. She demonstrated mastery of illusion magic but when asked how she learned this, she had no answer. Looking into her memories quickly revealed that she magically modified her own memory to forget some unknown horrible past. The Council, after a brief debate, decided that a wizard should be allowed to begin anew if they decide it is the only way to ensure their own intentions are good, and they allowed Aroth Arros to join Jixaron. It became clear that her entire memory of her past was gone. She knew her name still, she could still speak and cast spells and understand the arcane theory behind them, but nothing about her own personal self before teleporting into Jixaron. She took this in stride, though, as she very pragmatically assumed that her past self had a good enough reason to do something as drastic as erasing her entire past, and that the best thing to do now was to make new memories and decide on the future.
Aroth Arros wanted to experience everything in Jixaron since it was all new again. She attended classes despite being a master and teaching many herself, she took up arcane smithing and enchanting, she studied artifacts, she organized activities, she joined the Time Anomaly Task Force when it formed, and whatever else she could. When the city was attacked by the Platinum Covenant, she placed illusory walls that would allow mages to shoot through them but solidify when enemy attacks hit the other side—a spell of her own design that has since been incorporated into much of Jixaron's defenses. When the Council of Archmagi was reforming in 1764 ADW, Archmage of Illusion was another position that the Council debated over who to appoint, but in the end they decided to give it to Aroth Arros, and she was honored to accept.
