Zana

Chalizana Vlonwelv Malevolo Loraicheus-Arpaton-Nox, better known as Zana, was a changeling wizard who was a member of Miracle Menagerie in an alternate timeline. She was a member of the Arpaton family, the granddaughter of Malevolo, and trained at Jixaron before joining Cardinal's Reach. She took a particular interest in the far reaches of arcane magic and its history.

Biography

With Miracle Menagerie, after meeting with "Gith" and Koi in Cirezel, she went to investigate the disappearances and arcane disturbances in Shanlume. The party chased and fought cloaked figures into tunnels under the city. Along the way she found and attuned to the Staff of Karsus. When they reached the palace, they found an entity that was probably called Eon that was draining the arcane magic from Shanlume and the world. A fight quickly ensued. Through poor planning, Zana was too far away to make any meaningful difference in the battle. Karsus and Tasha appear in a vision and reveal that she can use the spell to cast Power Word Eradicate, which would erase the entity's existence at the cost of her own. Zana did not make the sacrifice, choosing instead to teleport away, leaving Auri, Vash, and Maverick('s clone) to die. She teleported to the Fall of the Eclipse at Shatterpoint to attempt to go back in time and prevent this from happening. Before she did, she was invited by Karsus to his realm to further train first, and she went with him.

• Chalizana is named after a character in Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage.
