Nine Dawns

The Nine Dawns church is an organization of combined religious faiths under one banner. As a direct result of the Divine War, many cities throughout the world had multiple churches that would often compete for space. Lesser deities would still actively create followings and try and sow competition that older churches could not keep up with.

The Nine Dawns was created to stop this competition and prevented any more religious wars from beginning. The Nine Dawns is a reference to the alliance of gods known as the Gods of Dawn who joined forces together during the Divine War. These gods included the following: Pelor, Saranrae, Ehlona, Oghma, Waukeen, Tyr, Sune, The Star Queen, and Eldath. These 9 gods formed this alliance, and are all mostly on the neutral to good side of the god's alignment spectrum.

The Nine Dawns was formed in the year 900 ADW originally, and was created to pay homage to these gods who joined forces to defend the mortals who were caught in between the wrath of other gods. The Nine Dawns also defended against Shogrush and his hordes of darkness.

In the year 1702 ADW and onwards, the Nine Dawns church is the main religious organization seen within the The Alliance, and some, but very rare, The Dark Pact cities.
