Grim Harvesters

Abominations are considered the most vile and disgusting creatures in the realm. Nothing pales in comparison, except one group known as the Grim Harvesters. These individuals who go by this name conduct kidnappings, operate trafficking rings, capture and hunt people, and eat them. Not only that, but they harvest all parts, either selling them to black market doctors and necromancers, or sell them to hungry customers. Even further, in recent times, they use the parts to create horrid constructs of flesh and bone, listening to a twisted master.

In all of history, the Grim Harvesters are by far the most feared, and in some cases, respected criminal organization. No other faction attempts to do what they do, as they are killed and eaten if they dare attempt. The Grim Harvesters have a massive expanse of spies, assassins, thugs, and workers all across the globe, ready to enact the next twisted order they receive. Individuals who work for the faction are twisted and sick in their own right, not necessarily believing in anything, but have a place of other like-minded, twisted individuals to work alongside.

Most of those who work for the faction never see another worker, and are only employed when necessary. Those who work 24/7 usually reside on their ships, as they mainly operate out of the seas that they travel across. Those who talk of their experience and programmed to believe they will feed someone who is hungry, and if they value their life and their work, progressing towards the top, they will not speak. Individuals of the criminal organization mainly want to rise to the ranks, and are used to cruelty, and do not speak for respect of the "company."

There were several attempts by military units to take down this menace. In the year 1648 ADW, the navy of Al-Harim followed and located a fleet of Grim Harvester ships that had recently kidnapped a number of people, causing chaos within the cities on the coast. However, the Harvester fleet knew the navy was approaching, and set up an ambush. While the navy was 100 strong, and consisted of highly trained soldiers and sailors, as well as battle-tested ships, they were ill-prepared for the cunning and brutality of the Harvester fleet. Mines, hungry sea beasts, and underwater fighters were employed by the Harvester fleet, catching the faster ships off guard. The underwater warriors snuck their way onto the ships and slaughtered sailors from the inside, eventually taking over the ships. Using the ships against them, the Harvesters flanked and used highly advanced, ranged cannons, as well as suicidal, captured ships to bombard the Al-Harim navy. After 2 days, the navy was left sailing away with 20 ships, while the Harvesters had only lost 4 out of 20 ships.

All attempts by military forces bent on destroying these criminals were ended in brutal and disturbing ways. Military, once-thought superior forces were easily beaten by these cruel, psychotic slayers. The most crushing defeat of any military force was at the Battle of the Snare Timberland in the year 1708 ADW. The Orcish army, and Tusktooth Infantry of Duzgredar sent a massive army, forces flanking and forces ready for a counterattack, into the Snare Timberland, a familiar forest to the Orcs. It was believed that the Harvesters were taking victims into the woods. When the main assault force entered the woods, they were assaulted with cruel and brutal traps, still-alive flayed people strapped to trees, and people with ticking bombs sewn inside of them. The soldiers were immediately sent into a frenzy, and broke the line, allowing Harvesters to surprise the terrified soldiers and kill them. The counterattack and flanking force were surprised as well, with well-hidden traps placed in the open fields they traveled across. They were then bombarded by arrows, guns, and cannons from unknown locations, and were routed. Only 100 soldiers survived, while the rest were eaten and displayed within the woods for several days. This crushing defeat absolutely destroyed the Tusktooth Infantry, and they were sent back to rigorous training and weren't heard from.

Despite their massive success against countless military units, the Grim Harvesters often returned to the shadows to not take the attention of the media and public for long, to the point where they are forgotten, to strike again, causing even more chaos and discourse.
