The Court of Wolves is a secret organization of mages, rich individuals, and artificers. The secret society was created by The Flesh Mechanist, a crazed High Elvish inventor who was the lead creator of bio-mechanical technology. The Court of Wolves also worked closely with The Collective, another secret society of scientists and inventors experimenting on creating life from life.

The Court of Wolves was established in the year 1600 ADW in the Thenalion Empire, land of the Elves. This organization was bred out of the superiority complex that many High Elvish people had, where they believed they were superior. It was established to ensure that the current leader, King Ranolan Eluxiam and his bloodline would remain in power. The Court of Wolves started by rallying behind the King, funding political operations, and even silencing political opponents. Eventually, the Court of Wolves went as far as blackmailing, threatening, and even hiring assassins.

When King Ranolan Eluxiam was challenged by a well supported Wood Elven ruler in 1670 ADW, the Court of Wolves took it upon themselves to remove the competition. It started by hiring the Death Knights, a well known assassins league to remove smaller figures supporting this Wood Elven politician. When the Wood Elven ruler legitimately challenged the candidacy of King Ranolan Eluxiam's rule, the Court of Wolves, who were also being led by the Flesh Mechanist at the time, were ordered to assassinate this ruler. This killing was botched, and while all traces of a corpse was hidden, the news that an assassination took place angered the populace, and sparked more violent actions towards King Ranolan Eluxiam and his followers. This sparked the short rebellion led by a group called the Greylanders.

Simultaneously, a branch of the Court of Wolves followed the Flesh Mechanist to the Northern Hemisphere to create a secret army of bio-mechanical soldiers. However, their plans were foiled by a group of adventurers known as Like Minded Individuals. The actual Court of Wolves shortly and mysteriously disappeared after the Flesh Mechanist's defeat, seemingly assassinated.

The Court of Wolves would not make another appearance until the year 1762 ADW, seemingly backing another coalition of dark factions in Al-Harim.
