Bastard

Bastard is the giant undead mutant raven monstrosity that is the pet of Dea.

It started out as a normal raven, which was given to Dea as a gift by Chief Adrar when the Stank Bitches cleared the Island of Nature of Endohzeen. He was named after the first word he said, which he repeated Dea saying after he bit her finger.

Later, in the Realm of Ice, Dea fell off a ledge while Bastard was in her jacket, squishing him and killing him. Dea cast Animate Dead to return Bastard to life undead. She continued to cast this every day on him, including when on the corrupted Island of Nature. The necromantic energy there caused Bastard to mutate into a large undead monstrosity.

Bastard in his hulking undead form still recognized and was friendly toward Dea, and this caused a rift in the party. Dea wanted to keep the bird, while Rahim and Maxwell wanted to destroy it. Eventually the party decided to allow Dea to keep it, and Har DiHar invented an anti-stink perfume to mask the rotting undead smell.

Bastard currently resides in the Archmage's Tower in Jixaron.
