Ashen Elves
Ash-grey skin, red eyes, coarse voices, and the charred black fingernails are the hallmarks of this elusive elven subrace. These elves live in the wake of great volcanoes, adapting to the harrowing biome. These elves can also be found in various locations such as the Nine Hells, Infernollia, The Wildfire Jungle, Infernious and the Molten Lands. In With a honed survival instinct, a natural inclination toward magic and battle, and a proud veneration for tradition, these elves are the flaming counterparts to the snow elves who also escaped the intense, only the strong survive mindset instilled in the material plane elf mindset.
Ability Score Increase Your Dexterity score increases by 2. Your Constitution score increases by 1. Alternatively, you can choose your stats lineage style (Choose one of: (a) Choose any +2; choose any other +1 (b) Choose three different +1)
Creature Type You are a Humanoid. You are also considered an elf for any prerequisite or effect that requires you to be an elf.
Volcanic Heritage Accustomed to the volcanic heat of your ancestral homeland, you have resistance to fire damage and are immune to the effects of intense heat.
Hell Walker You can safely walk across or swim through molten lava and magma without taking any damage. Additionally, you ignore difficult terrain that stem from the terrain of a volcanic location.
Hell Fire You know the fire bolt cantrip. Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma is your spellcasting ability for it (choose when you select this race).
Darkvision You can see in dim light within 60 feet of yourself as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You discern colors in that darkness only as shades of gray.
Fey Ancestry You have advantage on saving throws you make to avoid or end the charmed condition on yourself.
Keen Senses You have proficiency in the Perception skill.
Infernal Trance You don't need to sleep, and magic can't put you to sleep. You can finish a long rest in 4 hours if you spend those hours in a trancelike meditation, during which you remain conscious. During this trance you can allow your body to be covered in a hardened shell of heated obsidian. This increases your AC by +3 and those that touch your shell take fire damage equal to your proficiency modifier. Whenever you finish this trance, your weapons and armor are heated up until they are separated from you or cooled off by something cold. While heated up weapon attacks deal an additional 1d4 fire damage and if your armor is heated up you can reduce incoming fire damage by 1d4.
