Lionhearts
The Lionhearts are an ancient order of monster hunters that dates back to beginning of the Age of the First Men. Lionhearts are conscripted young warriors that are trained in hunting down beast, aberrations, demons, devils, and any other non-humanoid entity they deem a threat to the safety of the realm. Many sects of Lionhearts operate based on contracts, where a town or village can hire a Lionheart for a steep price to deal with a problem. There still exist some older sects of Lionhearts which dedicate themselves to monster hunting without pay. There has been some controversy with how Lionhearts operate, such as how they train younger warriors, choose contracts, or judge the level of a monster and whether its existence is truly a threat.
