Kelemvor is the greater deity of death and memories. Feared and worshipped as the eternal judge of all lost and damned souls. Kelemvor represents a necessary, if not sometimes morally grey, balance between light and dark. Damned or misguided souls are said to be taken to the Crystal Spire where they await judgment in Kelemvor's well. There, Kelemvor weighs the soul on their great cosmic scale, and based on the soul's deeds may choose to absolve or damn them. In a world of numerous schools of magic, some more dangerous than others, it is frighteningly easy to have your soul wrenched from your body and knocked off course. Also what laws and principles one calls someone and their soul 'damned' is an incredibly difficult, subjective decision. Kelemvor represents the final, absolute decision on these souls, righting their path, damning them as deserved, or freeing them of any fear that their soul was indeed unfit for an afterlife bathed in light. Kelemvor is commonly described as a deathly, armored specter who rides across the night sky on horseback wearing a ghastly skeletal, blackfire helmet.
