Desdemona Nox

The matriarch of the mysterious Nightsisters. Desdemona is a foreboding entity that has endlessly haunted and terrorized countless innocents. Stories of her can be found in Drow lore as a nightmarish wraith that takes children away in their sleep. Desdemona's spawning occurred on her wedding day when an angry mob stormed the church and murdered her and her husband in cold blood. The stories say that they cut Desdemona open from neck to belly and threw her in a well. From that senseless violence and hatred, Desdemona was reborn, and crawled from the well and hunted down each member of the mob individually. As the years went on, Desdemona would go on to start the Nightsisters, an assassin group made up entirely of female Drow. It's said that a person can pray to them to take a life, but at a great cost. Desdemona met Croak and Dagger at the Dragon's Hoard Casino, and had even offered to let them live if they went to Bhurnram to steal a superweapon that the Forsaken wanted. But not all negotiations work out. When the swords started swinging, Desdemona and her assassins carved through Elvira's men and escaped into the night.
