'''Surkesh''' is an old, grizzled combat-Paladin who served in the [[Seven Year War|Bloody Seven]] under the oath of an unknown God. All that's known of Surkesh's service record is that he supposedly fought under [[Skulk Greymind]] as part of the Ironback Battalion. There's a long gap between Surkesh's military career, and his time on Sankofa where he eventually became [[Barbatos|Barbatos']] mentor and trained him in the ways of the Paladin. Any attempts to speak with Surkesh about his history, military or otherwise, have been met with grunts or vulgar taunts.
