The Blackguards are an order of warrior who use the vile energy of the abominations against them.

Their goal is to protect this realm and others, destroy vile rifts and portals, destroy abominations, protect the weak, and destroy that which would corrupt.

The Blackguard order began with Savorin Chak. The order was restarted by Catalina Chak and V5-75 on the moon.

Eventually Halex Vin was the leader and one of the only members. He recruited Qupsop Ganger and Kra'lachak into the order, and the Blackguards once again ventured into the Vile Wilds to fight Gromush. They succeeded, but most of the order died, leaving Kra'lachak as the last living Blackguard.

The Blackguards are an extremely secretive organization, often hiding themselves in the unsearched regions of the world, only coming out when an abomination threat is near. These organizations spread throughout the world are so secretive that they are often not aware of one another's' existence until they are called to fight in the same place.

Each sect of the Blackguards is dedicated to a specific defense against abominations. While all sects are warrior/spellcaster based, some study the teachings and origins of previous warriors, while others explore and eliminate cultish worship of these vile creatures.

Those who seek out Blackguards are often met with rejection, as only the strongest wills and bodies can become a Blackguard. It is a teaching that destroys ones' body and suffers in order to defeat their vile foes. Most often times, individuals who attempt to follow the Blackguard ways end up becoming Blackguard cults, not actually tied to the organization. These cults are hunted down by actual Blackguards just the same as any other abomination threat, as they are a danger to spreading this failure. These Blackguard cults are not actual Blackguards, rather, those who failed the tests and didn't die immediately, but were left with debilitating madness. They continue spreading this madness, and false teachings to those who would want to join, under false pretenses of joining the "Blackguards."
