Valanor is the capital city of Baelrum, formerly an independent city-state. It is considered a holy city for several gods.

The Stank Bitches frequently visited the city in their adventures when it was an independent city-state. In 1550 ADW, the Knights of Pelor allied with the Seven Sisters to take over the city. The military of Baelrum then took over the city, removing the Knights of Pelor but also rededicating the city's religious districts to the Dwarvish Pantheon.

After Daxlorg was destroyed by the Blackpaw pack, the capital of Baelrum was moved to the city.
