Biography

Blood in the Water

Lamni Armorpha was born on the Dunkleosteus, the ship of the feared pirate Selachi Armorpha, on 4 Oris 1769 ADW. She was the daughter of Selachi and a memory-altered yuan-ti adventurer named Szoakas. She was raised as part of the pirate fleet Blood in the Water, brought up to be as ruthless and bloodthirsty as possible. When Lamni was a small child, Loki, the chaos god who altered Szoakas' memory returned his memory to him, causing him and Selachi to fight and Szoakas to be thrown from the ship. Years later, Lamni began to question the evil ways taught by Selachi. She had in her a drive to do good and could tell that the acts this crew were doing weren't it. This came to a point when Lamni learned the ship they were tracking was that of Szoakas, who was still alive and joined a group of seafaring adventurers called the Armored Shells. Lamni confronted Selachi and they fought, culminating in Selachi ripping Lamni's heart out of her chest and throwing her into the ocean. Deep below the depths an ancient presence reached out to Lamni and transformed her into a kraken-like form, stopping her from dying. When she tried to swim away, the presence pulled her deeper, but she was rescued by the Armored Shells before it could.

Reunited with her father, she went on to join the Armored Shells aboard the Tide-Turner and adventured with them for several years, learning to control and use her kraken transformation as she did. This lasted until one day Blood in the Water returned and attacked the Armored Shells fleet, sinking every ship and killing nearly everyone. Due to her transformation Lamni was able to escape by swimming away, but was badly wounded. She was rescued by a team of scientists in a submarine called Deep Search. Now without a crew or family, Lamni joined Deep Search for several months. But at that depth, the presence kept trying to take Lamni back, pull her and the submarine she was in deeper. It became too dangerous for Lamni to stay at sea so she had to leave this crew, but she still had that drive to do good. Jacques Blackcloak, a member of Deep Search's crew and a former Blackguard, recommended that Lamni join Vile Slayer Katya Song who was recruiting new Blackguards.

Memento Mori

On 8 Molor 1789 ADW, Lamni joined the Blackguards in Stormclaw, Quelxiros and was among the founding members of Memento Mori. After a few missions on the material plane, they would go on to adventure in Wargrave and beyond.
