In the Thenalion Empire, Xilam was the nature advisor of High Emperor Ranolan Eluxiam. Despite whatever other problems Ranolan may have had, Xilam assured that whatever he did was respectful of nature. Once Ranolan "stepped down" and his court was appointed to lead the empire, Xilam was one of the only courtiers to remain when Kyne took control.
