Appearance

Zygryn’s body is horribly disfigured due to her previous form, her skin is relatively normal but she has scales in some places and horns on her head. Her left arm, that she often keeps hidden, has gnarly claws and gnarled scales. Her eyes are two different colors one red and one purple and there are some scales on her face, so as a result she wears a hooded cloak, long robes and a butterfly mask. Instead of using a spellbook, she uses a small knife that was gifted to her from Sylvania to carve newly learned spells onto her body. This to her is a way to metaphorically reclaim her body with her own magic that she learned and thus rejecting the necromancy her mother taught her. There is nothing special about the knife, it just holds sentimental value to her.

Personality

Zygryn is very reserved and often selfish, she hungers for knowledge and a solution for her physical alteration. She has minimally functioning emotions and doesn’t exert herself much, however due to the circumstances of her birth she would follow orders of those that cooperate with her, but she is in the process of getting over that. In combat she is destructive and ruthless those that oppose her are seen as nothing more than an obstacle. However, she is very careful to not misuse her chronurgy and uses it with restraint.

Echoes from her previous form heavily affect her mind as well, she is easily influenced by others and will obey if she doesn’t have the willpower however, she can break this if she has enough force of will. Her lust for knowledge is tied to her belief that consuming more knowledge is what will help her gain the power necessary for reclaiming herself. Her "willpower" will be tied to her sanity, she gets more emotive when sane and the more sanity she loses the more she reverts to her original husk like mind.

Abilities

Chronurgy - Zygryn learned magic that grants her control over time itself.

Background

When Zygryn was born her mother Zynthia had no intentions on raising her like a normal child. Moments before she was born, her mother performed two rituals to alter her, one to alter her body to make her an abominable creature giving her both infernal and draconic traits. And yet another one to shatter her mind into complete servitude before she even gets a mind of her own. As she grew up, her body adjusted and it vaguely settled back into an elvish like shape. Zynthia desired to create combinations of various different creatures because she wanted to create a perfect bodyguard and pet and that her daughter was an attempt. It almost worked however, Zygryn’s willpower was enough to slowly regain her original mind. However, her physical body cannot be fixed so easily.

Her previous form for the first 15 years of her life was a horrid shambling creature, a large winged, 7 horned dragon like devil. She had layers and layers of tough purple and red scales as well as multiple rows of sharp, jagged teeth. Her wings were tattered and constantly bloody due to them being her back skin exploding out of her back to form wings, her bones painfully twisted and snapped to accommodate the new form. As stated by her mother, she wanted to take the most dangerous aspects of both and make them even stronger and what better way than to use her own daughter. This form was abhorrent and every moment was complete agony. Eventually, from the ages of 16 to 20 her body started to painfully revert back to a relatively humanoid shape and when she had an opportunity, she fucking ran from her mother and eventually found herself in Evermest. Due to this previous form, her arm is in constant pain typically minor enough for her to ignore it.
