The Gods are powerful entities that are worshipped across the universe, across many religions. Due to the aftermath and impact of the Divine War, the gods, greater or below, are not allowed to directly involve themselves in the affairs of mortals. They are only allowed to counsel and guide.

Origin of the Gods

All gods in this universe can trace their origins to ancient beings known as The Precursors. The Precursors were ancient and incredibly powerful beings from the Far Realms that had immense power. They were the ones who created this universe and many others in their exodus across space and time.

As they birthed life, nature, magic and other laws of the world onto different planets across the universe, they began to split themselves into smaller versions of themselves, those that would govern over their creations. These would become known as the Ancient Elders, the first gods.

Over time, even these gods began to split themselves up, dividing the power among those that they create. These gods would hold dominion over minor elements of the growing world, and they would be known as the Lesser Elders. Some of these Lesser Elders that held dominion over darker aspects of life and nature began to corrupt and change, becoming evil gods.

During the First Divine Conflict, gods began to fight and kill one another, and began to split their power even more. In an effort to stop this bloodshed, the Ancient Elders split themselves even more, and created the first and loyal Greater Gods, that would see dominion over the other gods of lower power. When the divine conflict ended, all that was left were the corpses of gods, and the Lesser Elders split even more and became Lesser Gods, symbolizing their defeat and stopping the conflict.

The pantheons of the Ancient Elders and Lesser Elders no longer exist after the second divine conflict, and are now a distant memory.

It is believed that Bahamut and Tiamat were two of these Lesser Elders, with a different name and different form. The two created separate images of themselves and formed the remainder of the pantheon, fighting over who gets control of what. Drow Pantheon

The Drow pantheon split from the rest of the Elvish pantheon in the earliest years of the first divine war. This was when Lolth was spawned, after she attempted to split from the Elvish pantheon by attempting to murder Culinir with the help of another evil god. She was banished to the Underdark, where she spawned her own kin, as well as her own pantheon from her own stomach. She was pregnant at the time with another god's child, but after being tainted with evil magics, these children came out dark and twisted, and formed the Drow pantheon. Most of the gods of this pantheon are considered evil.
