Astral Humans

Age. Humans reach adulthood in their late teens and live less than a century.

Size. Humans vary widely in height and build, from barely 5 feet to well over 6 feet tall. Regardless of your position in that range, your size is Medium.

Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and one extra language of your choice. Humans typically learn the languages of other peoples they deal with, including obscure dialects. They are fond of sprinkling their speech with words borrowed from other tongues: Orc curses, Elvish musical expressions, Dwarvish military phrases, and so on.

Skills. You gain proficiency in one skill of your choice.

Steady Breath. You can hold your breath indefinitely while you're not incapacitated.

Spark of Knowledge. Whenever you make a skill check, tool check or you are making an attack roll with a weapon that you aren’t proficient in, you can use this ability to gain proficiency for the next 8 hours. You mystically acquire these proficiencies by temporarily drawing the astral spark the astral elves use. You can do this a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier and regain uses when you finish your next long rest.
