The Land of Erratas

This is what the void followers call the planet they are based in. Erratas the lich has such influence there that the followers refer to the entire planet as his land. In their eyes and his, he owns the planet and all who inhabit it. Not much is known about this planet but the Hellspawn find themselves on a path to finding out more.

The material plane is made up of a twelve continental landmasses on the west hemisphere.

On Planet Companies

Sender Syndicate - The Trains on Erratas are extremely fast, they get from origin to destination in less than a minute. However, the train ride moves so fast that the physical body moves faster than the mind’s perception of time so you don’t even realize the train moved when you get to your destination. Sometimes, monstrous creatures tend to hide in these trains and must be eliminated. This company is also responsible for warp gates that transport people one at a time to specific locations instantly.

Possible Jobs: Sending Cleanup Crew: The cleanup crew are individuals who’s sole job is to get on the trains when they stop and search for and eliminate any of the monsters that hide on board. You are not authorized to know the origin of the monsters and for the safety of all staff, those that find the origin are subject to immediate service termination, as to prevent the spread of any cognitive hazards. They are often provided a uniform, a weapon and cleaning supplies so that they may clean the trains after any combat. They are also there to clean the train as well.

Engineer: Engineers work on the engine of the trains. This is relatively safer than the cleanup crew however, it has it’s own small, issues. The energy, [which you are not authorized to know what is] is stored in a tank. Your job is to work on the parts around the tank and if the tank runs out of energy, you are to replace it. Each tank is about 300 pounds and is about 25 feet long so you must put your back into working. Be careful not to open the tanks or the volatile energy will escape. If this happens avoid contact with the energy. With the help of some willing volunteers, we have decided that contact will result in instantaneous disintegration, so do your best to avoid the inconvenience of making the cleanup crew clean outside the trains as well.

Motivation Initiative: If we feel you are having trouble being positive and motivated for working, we will put you on the motivation initiative list so that you may work the way we need. Your home distractions shall be confiscated until you prove you are not only serious about your job but also motivated and positive about being there. If you prove that you are, the distractions shall be returned. Failure to get off the motivation initiative list in two weeks shall result in the incineration of your distractions, thus removing you from the list and being put on a watch list to prevent any attempts of self termination.

Astro Corp - This company is the largest metal working company on the planet. They use meteors to forge and make metal. Most metal things on the planet have origins to Astro Corp, any small competitors deal with their workers.

Possible Jobs: Smith: You are to work in the factory, you smelt down and forge whatever we tell you to forge. Most things are at a large scale. So do be careful not to fall in the molten metal vats, we will not be able to retrieve you and your family will not be compensated for your inconveniencing the company.

Ravager: You are not quite a mercenary, and not quite a soldier. You work for us. Any and all competetors that work with metal are to be hunted and annihilated. You will be given armor and weapons to destoy small businesses that dare to get in out way.

For the unmotivated: The Chip: For those that are unhappy with working here shall be brought in for a screening test. Should you fail to pass this test you will be given a pill. Once you awaken, you will suddenly be more willing to work and you will forget about any and all things at home that distract you from taking your job seriously.

Amalgam Corp - In space anything can be welded to anything, and welding is the key to understanding many things. It is up to the workers to figure out how they work. You will do extensive research on an invasive insect species [Knowledge of their origin is unauthorized] to gain insight on how to deal with them. Any attempt to leave the job operation will result in immediate termination as you are unable to leave with company property.

Possible Jobs: Researcher - You will have a body part replaced with the body part of the invasive insect. Afterwards, you will run through multiple tests and be ordered to live life normally [Under heavy surveillance] so that we can see how it affects your body. Your vitals and brain activity will be monitored and if you decide to part with the company, your family will be given your severance package as you will be unable to claim it as civilians are not authorized to carry company property.

Disorder Directory - This is a construction company, we only do construction. Out workers are dedicated to building civilian homes.

Potential Jobs: Construction - You must live in a house built by Disorder Directory to work this job as all workers are unauthorized to support other construction companies. All you must do is build the building we tell you to and place a device under the building. [Any information about this device is unauthorized and anyone who learns is terminated] Thinking about finding out will result in immediate termination.

Skynet Authority - This company works on all flying vessels on the planet. But their most used device is the Authority Generators which dictate all protected airspace on the planet, these large devices scan and detect the ID of who is flying any flying vessels. If the person flies in an unauthorized airspace, the generators will land the vessel in seconds. This often results in a minor structural damage along the entire vessel but that is fine the vessels are made to be repaired with a bit of work.

Potential Jobs: Skynet Cleaning Crew - As one can imagine, landing a flying vessel in a matter of seconds may result in a small mess. The landed vessel must be cleaned inside and out and repaired. An authorized personnel will be appointed to the team to fly the vessel back to the company for inspection and redeployment.

For the unmotivated: Cleaning Crew Cleaning - Often times, cleaning crew staff will experience psychological trauma from seeing and cleaning so many crashes, so we have a helpful solution. We have in office medical staff that will help you forget what you saw. Simply lie back and we will give you a small injection via the nasal cavity and you will forget the ordeal in a few pokes. You may forget other things as well but that is fine it is a very delicate procedure that requires the upmost precision which has a very small margin of error. But you should be ready and willing to work right after.

Core Conglomeration - This company powers most major cities the same energy is responsible for keeping the heat on in all homes.

Potential Jobs: Maintenance: There are multiple tunnels under all the residential areas to do scheduled maintenance on homes without even having to enter the homes. There are a lot pests that hide in these tunnels to stay warm. So not only are you fixing up homes, you must do tunnel maintenance by exterminating all unauthorized occupants in the tunnels. Failure to eliminate all unauthorized occupants will result in immediate job termination, thus making you an unauthorized occupant that is slated for extermination.

Lab Corp - There are many creatures on this planet, a good amount are not native and actually evolved to live on this inhospitable planet. Workers are tasked with examining creatures captured and brought into the facility and are put into close proximity with them to see what happens. Thanks to the help from the sender syndicate, we have been equipped with devices to prevent loss of assets. If any equipment or research subjects are lost due to the failings or incompetence of employees, we can retrieve the equipment and the creatures. This is how things on the planet are researched and named.

Potential Jobs:

   Employee: Your job is simple, secure, contain, and protect. We tell you what to research and you are provided weapons to defend yourself. Worry not, thanks to our patented cameras, we can see everything at a speed of 299,792,458 frames per second, so we can see and record every detail in case you fail to make it out of the research subject room and fail to report your findings. Should you find yourself dying a gruesome death, we will use our retrieval devices that are provided by the sending syndicate to bring back a snapshot of you before your horrendous death. Due to the nature of a job such as this, we do not intend on erasing your memory of your gruesome death as we need you to recall what happened so that you may report it and send you on to the next task.

Motivation: Employees that do not comply with tasks will be put on standby. When put on standby a substitute shall be brought in to do the task for you. This can range from your spouses, siblings, offspring, pets and even parents. While we wish we wouldn’t have to put employees on standby, it is sometimes necessary to the cause of gaining this valuable information. Just know that the retrieval devices are to be used on company equipment only and you should be made aware that civilians are not subject to being authorized to use company equipment, therefore they are ineligible for being brought back via snapshot. On top of that, since they are not on our payroll, they will not be paid, regardless of whether or not they complete the task. We feel this is incentive enough to do the job you said you would without the need for our standby system.

Vionic Tech - This company provides electricity for all homes on the planet. They not only provide electricity, but it is also weapons. As the same energy that power the homes, power the guns used on the planet.

Potential Jobs: Assembly Line: You work the line and assemble general electronics for homes, weapons too. You are not authorized to know what we use to power the weapons, you simply must work with our product. Anyone caught stealing parts or finished products will be put on the testing protocol. The testing protocol requires you having the products tested on you. Be careful not to put the pieces in the wrong place when assembling the products. Products that are poorly put together have a tendency to leak the energy and erase all organic material in the way of the leak.

Compression Company - This company makes engines for most vehicles and large weapons. This company uses a device that is incredibly dangerous and volitile, so most things made from this company are often used in tandem with Astro Corp and Monolith to mitigate the potential destruction a damaged product. Most places that build the products are closer to residential areas.

Potential Jobs: Compressor - Your job is to enter the engines of large vehicles and weapons and make sure the devices in there don’t have a failure and meltdown. Just maintenance, that is all. Meltdown will result in instantaneous annihilation of all personnel in the engine. But worry not, the outer layer of the engine will be unharmed, leaving space for more workers to get in and fix the meltdown.

Monolith - This is a moving company, they mostly move large metal objects. They also can use this for medical purposes, such as MRI scans. This company is an outlier and actually practices ethical business practices and is actually transparent about what they do.

Potential Jobs: Mover: Your job is to move large metal objects using magnetic machines that help you put things together. These heavy machines do the heavy lifting while you gotta hop over and screw in the bolts. These devices have a 99.9999999% success rate so keep an eye out incase of the potential magnetic error. The machine will drop the object. Other than that once you complete your job you are free to go home and relax.

Motivators: You are given free health care benefits and a 401k, however you must work odd jobs that you are assigned to if you are off the clock. We unfortunately, cannot authorize you to know what the jobs are before hand but we can tell you, that you must expect combat. If you are to perish on any of the odd jobs, your family will be given your life insurance payment.

O Tech - This company is the biggest medical company on the planet. All of their hospitals are off the planet and orbit around.

Potential Jobs: Assistant: You will do what the doctors and nurses, do not question them. Sometimes, you will be asked to do, less than ethical things, but refusal and failure to do so will pin you on the opposite end of the table.

Concierge - While the name has a different meaning on Zoahrvol, on the Land of Erratas a concierge is like a mercenary that does jobs for the big corporations on the planet. As they do better, they gain rank, status and renown. Eventually, when they reach a high enough level of recognition they are granted a blessing. Most Concierges aren’t religious but they’ll take the blessings since they grant legitimate power and grants more opportunities for more jobs and more money. As is the same on Zoahrvol, the more dangerous the job the more money there is to be made. On the Land of Erratas, there are no adventurers this is the equivalent. They are not motivated by becoming heroes and famous like the adventurers on Zoahrvol, they are motivated by money and sometimes power.
