Gods
Gods are entities of great power that are worshipped and/or feared across many religions. Due to a greater pact to maintain balance and avoid a divine war, the Gods are forbidden from directly interfering with matters on the mortal Material Plane.
Greater Deities, Old and New Greater Gods
The term Old Greater Gods, also known as Architects, is used to refer to precursor beings that were believed to have existed before and after the Great Spark. Those who willed the Great Spark into igniting the creation of the Planes of Existence before sacrificing themselves to defeat Tiamat. The term New Greater Gods refers to gods or beings who were willed into existence during or right after the Great Spark or were once mortal creatures that ascended to godhood. All existing Gods are "New Greater Gods" but are simply referred to as "the Gods". Normally a distinction is only made when one says "to the Old Gods and the New," in very select, old prayers. In terms of power, both eras are equally powerfully and the time at which they existed is the only difference in common lore.
The Architects and their current-day domains were/are: Lucen (Knowledge), Feros (Wealth and Fortune), Therun (Fury, Life, and Conflict), Shiala (Justice and Judgement), Justinia (Blessings, War, and Balance)

Also referred to as the Dark Pact within the greater divine pantheon. Gods of Death and Darkness of varying alignments working together to keep the balance between death, memories, and souls working cohesively. This pact ensures no single aspect of darkness or death overpowers the other, risking total collapse of the wider cosmic scale and the death of all Gods. Much like the balance between Life and Death, or Light and Darkness, death has its own balance that must be maintained. Souls may sometimes find themselves on a journey through what's called the "Dark Descent", which begins with their (hopefully) swift passage through Tarturus, judgement in the Crystal Spire, then either eternal damnation in the Nine Hells or Underworld, or a peaceful, warm afterlife bathed in light.
