Andol the Magnificent
Age | Height | Weight | Gender |

24 | 5'9 ft | 135 lbs | Male |
Appearance
Andol is a fairly tall Half-Elf who has quite long brilliantly red hair, unusually so. His pale complexation is in stark contrast to both his red hair and his piecing gold eyes. Indeed there are those who claim that his elegant features, make him among the most handsome people they've ever had the pleasure of seeing. Others however, hold true to their claim that they've never seen a more punchable face in their lives. It should also be mentioned that Andol's left arm has sadly decided to move onto other things and is henceforth called "Cool Andol". Thanks to the efforts of fellow party member Omerok, Andol's regrown his left arm.
Andol's usual outfit consists of a set of full purple robes with bits of golden embroidery found throughout, a pair of black pants (of which the robe usually covers), along with fairly mundane looking traveling shoes the color of ash. In addition a holy symbol of Goar along with an arcane focus of bronze and amethyst hang from his neck, with a damaged ring on his left hand.
Personality
Equipment
Andol has a light crossbow currently his only form of defense, along with a couple daggers. Currently his three most important items are a cloak of billowing to help with his magnificent appearance (it also can't be stopped), a bag of holding given to him by the late Barbatos just before he sacrificed himself to save Clymene (which was never taken away), and a ring called The Ring of the Grammarian which he used to great effect by changing up to two letters of a spell to change what they do. Sadly the last item was severely damaged and is unrepairable, from any means minus a Wish spell. As far as miscellaneous items go, he has a business card from "The Menagerie", an outfit from another time, a ring of friendship gifted by Aiden and finally a simple conch shell.
Powers, Abilities and Skills
- Bloodline: Previously had a Shadow Bloodline, along with a Draconic one. Both of which were sacrificed in order to keep a promise, and save those dear.
- Eyesight: Can see 60ft in the dark, much less then he's used to.
- Longevity: As a Half-Elf, Andol is influenced by his elven side and likely has a lifespan twice as long a a pure human.
- Magical Aptitude: Has a deep knowledge of how to control and modify innate magical energy, energy he no longer possesses.
- Magnificence: While his looks are one faucet, Andol has the unexplainable phenomena of radiating an aura of Magnificence which augments his already significant charisma.
- Resistances: Due to his Elven ancestry, Andol has Resistance against attempts to Charm him while also being impossible to put to sleep through magical means.
- Silver-Tongued: Andol has an almost supernatural ability of using his charisma. Whether this is convincing people of a certain point of view, charming people without trying, or helping to convince a Faction to go to war for a faction they hate.
Relationships
- Aiden Thorin --"Aiden Thorin, older brother of Andol Thorin. Heh, it still makes me smile when I think about it. He's an outstanding guy who's depth of heart, is only matched by the depth of his ego.... if not slightly exceeded. He's had it tough, fighting his literal demons, while attempting not to loose himself. I hope he can accept himself fully one day, just laughing with Raiah with no shadows weighing down his mind. Having a brother and friend like Aiden, is more then worth losing my magic.... a hundred times over."
- Aileen Lockheart --"Aileen wasn't an adventurer when she first joined up. She made some basic mistakes and took things not so seriously at points, often due to Clymene's influence. She improved fast though, and I was beginning to see the shadow of not just an adventurer, but a hero in her. She went too soon... through no fault of her own. What use is a persuasive tongue, if it can't even save a friend?"
- Barbatos --"Barbatos was a guy who'd always be there for his friends, sure he'd have a couple rash plans here and there. But he had a good heart and truly wanted to make difference... You were better then you thought you were, hopefully you realize that now. I'll do what I can to watch over Vera, not that she wants us around. Fuck, Clymene need's to own up on costing Aileen her life. It won't be pretty, but if Vera finds out on her own... well she shouldn't have to."
- Bill and Ted --"I suppose I'll have to let them know that the scone business will likely have to close down. It's a shame, I thought it could bring joy to people, not to mention helping people down on their luck. I'm sure Bill and Ted will come up with another business plan soon enough, I'll see if I can help out. I owe it to them to at least try."
- Clymene --"Clymene's.... Clymene's complicated in a variety of ways. She's a good person at heart, I truly believe that. But she needs to not rush to take action or into conclusions and actually listen to others. She has seemed to improve as late and I hope it's not just my imagination. Without my powers I'm worried she'll make a mistake that I won't be able to fix."
- Charles Harper - Charles and Andol have an.... interesting relationship. All was fine and dandy until Andol caught him attempting to burn a letter showing connections between the Forsaken and the Reavers. After a discussion in which Andol brought Sayrax aboard to gain the upper hand, he forced Charles hand into admitting what was in that letter to the rest of the Party or he would do it for him. Relations since then have been tense..... though Andol himself has no problem with Charles and just doesn't want the Party or Charles to get blindsided due to hidden information.
- Desdemona Nox - While initially disgruntled with Desdemona for how she treated him in their first meeting, he's started seeing them in a better light after she and the Nightsisters upheld their part of a deal. He's more then willing to bring back her daughter even if it upsets a friendly God. After all, someone who cares so much for her daughter can't be that bad right?
- Edgar Castille - Andol quite respects Edgar's character, seeing as he's in a position of importance and yet doesn't abuse it. Andol does view him as a bit stubborn in some of his views towards the Conclave, though these views have been steadily changing. Finally Edgar's understanding love towards his son's especially Aiden, has won him a large amount of Andol's favor.
- Elvira Windhelm - After their first meeting after the raid upon the Casino, Andol saw Elvira as a commander with a strong sense of responsibility and justice. It was in the Shadowfell however that he truly saw how she was someone who persevered through hardships and as someone who'd speak out against discrimination without caring about the persons station.
- Hildr Firebrand - Hildrs a badass softie who just struggles to show that she cares without feeling like she's showing weakness. At least this is Andol's view of her, since he didn't face Hildr while she was under the sway of The Forsaken. This viewpoint was further strengthened with her action in the Shadowfell, after she regained control of her mind that is. Andol is currently hoping that he can help her open up towards people more and gain a more positive outlook.
- Incineryn Blackpyre - After the events at the swamp, Andol's opinion towards Incineryn was that she was someone you had to be guarded against. She wouldn't attack you outright for no reason but neither would she care if you were in danger of being killed by her spells. It wasn't until meeting her sister Maribelle and the events of the Shadow Fell that he started to understand that Incineryn did have a set of rules she followed. Which made Andol respect and understand her to a better degree even though he doesn't agree with her blatant disregard of lives.
- Laura - While Andol didn't get to know Laura for long, he saw that she didn't put her need for revenge ahead of helping others. Being one of the couple people to try and help Andol when he was grappled by a crocodile and one of the first to run towards a burning building to help. He still regrets that they sacrificed themselves to take out Gwynevere but hopes she found peace knowing that she finally got revenge.
- Logan Karstark - Andol didn't have the best opinion of Logan due to most of their interactions involved Logan getting into trouble due to some debt or item he'd stolen, this was only compounded by his declaration that he knew something about the Thorin family before taking off. However Logan's actions of staying to fight, trying to raise morale among C&D and stopping Clymene from running off, have begun to change Andol's view for the better.
- Lumira Igne - Lumira is the one new member of C&D that Andol's met, who he is actually favorable towards. As seen at the medal ceremony, she's humble and doesn't try to use fame to further herself. She's also shown understanding and patience with Marilka, which is something many other members of C&D have failed to do so. He can clearly see her becoming an important part of C&D, as long as the others don't scare her away...
- Lydia Redfort - Despite not having many interactions, Andol views Lydia highly. She's proven to push herself past her limits in order to help others escape multiple times and is an honestly nice person despite the weight upon her shoulders. Coming across her poem about Roland, Andol's decided to silently cheer her on.
- Lyra Roseshade - Fellow orphan, childhood friend, first love, savior, girlfriend. These are all words that could be used to describe Lyra in relation to Andol. Even their separation of over a decade wasn't enough to whittle down their bond, and after meeting again they quickly were back to their old rapport although with some changes. Lyra has always been dear to Andol and with Goar missing this has only been amplified, Lyra was the lifeline that helped him continue on. One of his deepest wishes is for her to be able to smile freely, without the influence of her past stifling it.
- Maribelle Blackpyre - Andol sympathized with Maribelle when she was struggling to deal with her sisters passing, knowing that everyone deals with such heavy emotions in different ways. He did his best to look out for them when they took unnecessary risks, but is relieved that they've stopped those tendencies. His current view is that she's a fierce, dependable friend, who isn't afraid to take some risks if its for an important enough goal or someone she cares about.... or something she thinks would be interesting/fun.
- Marilka Thyrnmur - Andol sees some of his past self in Marilka, although the Orphanage she found herself in was a far cry from his own circumstances. He emphasizes with how she feels buts hopes that she can enjoy the little things in life, the kind of things kids should all get to enjoy.
- Omerok - The guy who always has a plan and the glue that keeps the other members from making too big of a mess, at least that's how Andol sees Omerok. He has perhaps a few more quirks then the others in the group but that only adds to his charm and he goes out of his way to help others just because he wants to. His attitude of treating everyone as a person regardless of their race, political/personal power, or even divinity is refreshing to Andol. Hopefully he'll always be able to keep that attitude with all it's little charms.
- Qurouk Cluiekill - Andol knew Quoruk for a very short time, though in that time he proved time and time again that he could be relied upon and was looking out for everyone. A new generation of adventurers who'd hopefully help a vast assortment of people, a group worth sacrificing his life for. Andol hopes to honor his memory with his actions in the future, even if he's not an officially registered adventurer.
- Raiah Theron - Andol's high opinion of Raiah isn't due to her relations with a certain other Thorin, far from it. She's show herself to be skilled in a multitude of skills and fighting styles, while never losing herself in a sense of superiority. Even more so her willingness to do what needs to be done, while also never hesitating to put herself at risk for both her ideals and the people she cares about. If more people were like Raiah, not only would the Forsaken be done for, but the world would be a better place. Plus you know.... she and Aiden are great together.
- Roland Castille - Roland's ability to not let past tensions between the Alliance and the Conclave blind his eyes to usefulness of asking them for support, makes him a much needed person of reason. At least among the "higher" ups of the Alliance, which Andol already fears is heavily infiltrated by the Forsaken. Seeing as they're also Cousins now, Andol will do his best to support him when he can.
- Sayrax - One of the most kind, empathetic, loyal and sweet people you'll ever have the absolute pleasure of meeting. Andol see's Sayrax as one of the strongest people he's ever known, not through power that anyone can wield, but truth strength. Her ability to go through her past traumas and still see the beauty in the world and others is truly inspiring. He hopes she'll never lose that strength of hers, the world would be a darker place and it could really use the light.
- Skulk Greymind - Skulks one of C&D's earliest allies and while hoping he'll keep a secret is a vain hope, having him save your hide in battle is a certainty. Andol's realized however, that like all people Skulk has his own layers of depth to him. With a loving wife/son who he hopes to live quietly with after the fight is over. Andol will do what he can, to make sure that hope becomes a reality.
- Victor Salazaar - Andol sees Victor as the most capable member of the "strike" force he led in order to get the lead on Jordun's location. He also sees him as a potential threat to Aiden and not someone all that trust worthy.
- Visera Maelstrom - Wariness was Andol's initial feelings towards this Leader of the Conclave, seeing as their first meeting was her conversing through fellow Warforged Sayrax, it's understandable. After learning about everything she's done for her fellow Warforged who've been abandoned or feel lost, he sees her in a different light. Helping those abandoned by society or the like has also been a favorable action to Andol.
- Ygrid Ironborn - Ygrid's badassness is balanced by the fairness she shows to those who have earned it. Willing to listen to a ragtag group of Adventurers on why she should care enough to save the Alliance, which enslaved and murdered her people. Her being a God and still being reasonable gets bonus points, since quite a few Gods tend to be unreasonable jerks.
