Makoto Okada was a participant in the 1731 Kensho Martial Arts Tournament representing the Satoru Sayama Dojo with her unorthodox "Shooto Strong Style". Makoto's presence was overshadowed by former champions as well as first-time, big name, entrant Maribelle Blackpyre. In her preliminary match against the previous year's champion, Maki, Makoto knocked the champion out with one strike. She would go on to avoid being hit by Maribelle even once and was on the brink of delivering a knockout blow, when to everyone's surprise she forfeited because she was going to be late to the grocery store. Makoto left after a brief exchange with Maribelle. Unimpressed with her and the other entrants.
