Oswald II faces growing tensions with the Boy-King of the High-Elves, '''Jaonos Wynlana Uriquinal Sul'Lumaer'''. In an attempt find common ground, Oswald II and Jaonos agree to meet on neutral ground on the riverside town of Martinaise. Either way, Oswald II takes this as an insult and leaves before talks can begin.

The Age of Arcana

1000-1200 - Zero Year. Survivors of the Great Fire, gather themselves and what remains of their people. An age of darkness, lawlessness, and survival. Entire civilizations perish warring over what remains of their great empires. Survivors turned scholars begin to question and study magic more closely. 1205 - The Wizards of Oerth. A secular group of magic-users attempt to decipher ancient text. They believe magic was brought to the realms by another universe called the Greyspace, from the planet Oerth. Two of their most promising members, were Orcus and his student Vecna.

1300 - The Last War. Civil war erupts between human houses in the Old Kingdom of Galifar, on the continent of Eberron, after King Jarot passed away. Its purpose was to reunite the Kingdom of Galifar after infighting about King Jarot's successor began after his death.

1305-1306 - The Parlusian Rebellion. Spurred on by the war overseas and growing unrest with Great King Oswald, the human empire of Parlusia nearly descends into civil war. Insurrectionists led by Parlusian General Arturus Rex and other former officers, stage a series of armed attacks across Parlusia. Within a little under four months, the rebellion is crushed beneath the boot heel of the Parlusian military aided by a fearful public opinion and spies sub-planted within Arturus Rex’s army. Arturus Rex and his allies are publicly hanged at the Parlusian capital-city of Helaire.

1310 - The Liches of Oerth. The studies of the Wizards of Oerth delve into forbidden territory. They begin to practice necromancy and black magic, obsessing over immortality and Godhood. It's believed that to prevent this magic from growing any further, the Gods of the Death Domain cast a vile spell over the Wizards of Oerth that cursed them with the immortality they sought. 1312 - Intervention Overseas. Great King Oswald sends a detachment of ambassadorial emissaries accompanied by coven oracles to Eberron to stave off the fighting there. They are welcomed by Baron Adam Thorin of Grimice.

The Warforged. In a bid to avoid further loss of human lives, House Cannith mages and engineers develop the first Creation Forges. These forges create fast-learning constructs with rudimentary language and instinctual knowledge of movement. These constructs are created, or born, with no morale compasses and are at the mercy of House Cannith's tutoring. The Warforged are created.

1325 - The Treaty of Thronehold. After 25 years of infighting and skirmishes, the Last War ends with the Treaty of Thronehold. The last standing cities remain separated amidst four independent city-states, each with their own form of government. The old kingdom of Galifar is no more. As part of the treaty, the Warforged are emancipated and the creation of any future creation forges are banned.

1380 - The Parlusian-Elven War. Emperor Oswald Tettares I passes away at the age of 112. His son, Oswald Tettares II takes the throne. Oswald II faces growing tensions with the Boy-King of the High-Elves, Jaonos Wynlana Uriquinal Sul'Lumaer. In an attempt find common ground, Oswald II and Jaonos agree to meet on neutral ground on the riverside town of Martinaise. Jaonos sends an ambassador in his steed, supposedly as a show of how little he takes the Parlusian Empire seriously, or because he was incredibly ill the day of the meeting. Either way, Oswald II takes this as an insult and leaves before talks can begin.

As a result, land disputes between the Parlusian Empire and Kingdom of Val-Adin erupt into full-scale war. Small skirmishes occur on the border of the two nations and would cease and continue for hundreds of years after.

The Age of Empires

1650 - The War Party. In response to growing domestic and otherworldly threats, a traveling war party of Dwarves sells their experience for gold. With only an allegiance to gold, battle, and exploration, the earliest recorded Adventuring Party is formed calling themselves the War Party. This lifestyle catches on as a dangerous, but lucrative path for those that can stifle it. These roaming bands of adventuring parties, at the time known as War Bands, were good for solving problems of all shapes and sizes, so long as the hiring settlement or family could pay.

1700 - The Rangers of Helaire. During a hostage crisis at the Helaire Union Depository, Edgar Castille (16), Craig Firebrand (18), and Quoruk Cliukill (19) overpower heavily armed mercenaries led by wanted bank robber Sebastian Nightingale. Though Sebastian escapes, the trio are hailed for their bravery. They expand and grow into one of the most famous adventuring parties during the Age of Empires, and become the standard by which all other adventuring parties are judged by, and compete with.

1717 - The Martinaise Incident. Oswald Tettares IV is assassinated by a congregation of Goliaths on his way to Martinaise. Parlusian high command sends a detachment of troops to capture the Goliaths. Led by feared Chieftain Ygrid Ironborn, the Goliaths flee into High-Elf territory. Oswald IV’s son, Oswald Tettares V, asks the High-Elves to forgo any hostilities to allow them to chase Ygrid down. The High-Elves refuse and a small skirmish breaks out between the border patrols and Parlusian detachment when the Parlusian troops refuse to turn back. Ygrid disappears back into human territory and is seen a number of times liberating Goliath colonies and amassing a large following.

1719 - Uprising. The Goliath Uprisings begin.

1721 - Burning Shores. After two years of fighting, what’s left of Ygrid Ironborn’s forces attempt to flee across the Fordvern Expanse to Eberron where they had been promised sanctuary by the Warforged. Baron Adam Thorin sends a fleet of ships to intercept Ygrid’a fleet and trap them between his ships, and the Parlusian army. The Rangers of Helaire make an appearance and cement themselves in history as the ones to best and kill Ygrid Ironborn. The Goliath uprisings die with her.
