Zashiir is a githyanki-tiefling cadet in the Riders quadrant of the Zephyrean War College.

Appearance

Zashiir is a tall, buff, young githyanki-tiefling woman. She has orange-ish skin with dark spots all over, including dark markings around her eyes, and the typical githyanki facial features—a flat and upturned nose, pointed and serrated ears, and sharp features. In addition to this she has two ridged reddish-blackish horns coming from her head. Her brown hair is cut around these horns, shaved on the sides of the head and tied in the back. Since joining the Rider quadrant, she most often wears her cadet uniform, though whenever she rages she rips off the sleeves.

Biography

Zashiir was born in Zephros and lived there her entire life. At one point she began working for the Silverview family as an apprentice blacksmith, but quickly learned she was actually hired muscle for the family's criminal activities. To escape this situation, she volunteered to join the military and the Riders quadrant.

After sprinting across the rocky bridge when she first arrived, Zashiir was assigned to First Wing, Flame 1st squad along with Alloc, Arc Saviaris, and Criston Cole. The squad was lead by Amber Mavis, the section was lead by Bae'el, and the Wing was lead by Nyra. She befriended the members of her squad and Gunther, Petra, and Abigail, the members of Claw 1st squad (except for Magnus, who she punched in the face after he sabotaged her knot). In a class on draconic biology, she proved her wisdom by correcting the instructor about the first dragon riders, which were actually githyanki allied with Tiamat. During a Mock Dragon Fight, she proved her strength be repeatedly throwing her opponent, Petra, off the platform. This impressed Petra to the point that she went back up to the platform and kissed Zashiir.

The next day, Bae'el and Daddeus granted a 12-hour shore leave to Flame 1st and Claw 1st squads. The two squads (except for Magnus) went out to Zephros together. Zashiir asked Petra if she wanted to make it a date, and she accepted, and the two0. awkwardly complimented each other. In town they all ate plenty of greasy street food then went for drinks at the Duck and Cover, where Zashiir invited everybody to smash their glasses on her head. During the revelry, however, Arc noticed there were two high elves following them, and that Criston was missing. Zashiir, Alloc, and Arc began chasing the elves through the streets and caught up with the them down an alleyway, it was revealed this was a trap, and other members of the Wraiths stepped out and ambushed them. Their leader, a githyanki man named Lavendar, revealed himself and explained the situation. Lavendar and the Wraiths used to deal with the Silverview family, specifically Warryn Silverview, who apparently left the city at the same time Zashiir went off to join the Riders. Lavendar says he had a contract with the Silverviews and that Zashiir had to fulfill it. Lavendar gave Zashiir a Bag of Holding and told her to fill it with Siren Stones, threatening that if they don't, he would torture and kill Criston, whom he had kidnapped. Zashiir, Alloc, Arc, and Abi began to follow Lavendar through the city as Gunther and Petra returned to go alert Bae'el. They reach a brick warehouse in the city's Lower Wards, where carts of laundry were being wheeled in and out. Arc magically detected Criston inside in the basement, so the squad broke inside and fought the Wraiths, and Lavendar himself, freed Criston and carried the defeated Lavendar back outside where Bae'el, Daddeus, and Mavis were waiting with their dragons. Bae'el, after being explained the situation, executed Lavendar with his dragon's breath.
