Orc, AKA ‘Big Green’, 'Best Guy', 'Superstar'
Appearance
Skulk is described as a wide, green, muscular cut of Orc. He has long, bushy, unkempt hair that is unevenly cut thanks to him attempting to trim it with what one can only assume was with the least amount of precision and patience anyone has ever seen. Skulk has a goofy snaggletooth and is often staring blankly with his mouth half-open at nothing as his neutral expression. Years of slavery have chiseled Skulk into a cut, heavily scarred Orc with a bit of a temper problem when it comes to insulting his looks or intelligence. The abuse he suffered at the hands of his masters has left Skulk with a back entirely covered in scars from whips and clubs as well as one completely blackened eye. features that Skulk shows off proudly to display his endurance to anyone dumb enough to try and fight him.
Backstory
The Seven Year War
Skulk was a war hero and highly decorated officer in the 99th, the personal unit of Ygrid Ironborn. There he earned countless commendations for his tenacity and ruthlessness in combat, and was even allowed to brand himself with the 99th tattoo, an honor only given to Goliaths. Tales of Skulks efforts in the war vary depending on who you ask, but they all end in bloodshed and victory. If you ask Skulk, he only talks about doing his duty. Skulk isn't one for stories, just actions.
Croak and Dagger
Skulk was the first recruited member of Croak and Dagger. He loyally fights alongside them whatever the adventure or conquest.
Liberator's Day and the Legendary Sword of Embers
Skulk first met Croak and Dagger at a tavern in Meadowcraft. Having left his family behind to work to pay off their debt, Skulk was hired by the Carta Cartel to guard a blacksmith smuggler by the name of Adam who they had hired to steal King Alexius's family sword. After a rather confusing creative change in the Liberator's Day performance, Croak and Dagger's search took them directly to the tavern Skulk was at. There stood the Big Green Machine, guarding the door to Adam's room faithfully as he had been paid to. It took all of two compliments from K'jalis before Skulk decided he was better than that. Skulk quickly aligned himself with Croak and Dagger, and forced Adam to give them the location of the real sword...then accidentally crushed Adam's skull afterwards. Skulk and his new friends chased down the shape-shifting Marco The Million-Faced Man and his crew of Carta Cartel smugglers. Skulk proved himself in the ensuing conflict, taking a bullet to the head and still able to hold the entire ship from sailing away. After the sword was retrieved, and the surviving Carta members where in chains, Skulk was going to be arrested for his role in the theft. But Croak and Dagger talked the city guard out of it, and recruited Skulk. He became an honorary member of the newly formed Croak and Dagger right then and there.
Cataclysm
During the events of Cataclysm, Skulk revealed his role in the Seven Year War and promised that he would vouch for Croak and Dagger during the talks with the Goliaths. When they reached Jotunrath, Skulk was greeted with praise and distinguished salutes. There wasn't a single soldier at the Walls of Jotunrath that didn't know him. Skulk had returned to the lands he helped free so many years ago. He was reunited with his old leader, Ygrid, and was overfilled with joy to see that Runa had grown and married. Despite the grim reason for being there, Skulk was overjoyed to see his and his unnamed friend's efforts in the war had paid off. Skulk, like so many times before, had spoken highly of Croak and Dagger as selfless, efficient, sometimes goofy warriors. Skulk did not trust easily, so his word was all Ygrid needed to agree to speak with Croak and Dagger about the Goliath's aiding them in the coming fight against Caelrogh and his horde. Now, Skulk stands with axe in hand prepared to give his life for his new home, and new friends. If there was ever anyone you wanted in your corner, a good friend, a tenacious killing machine, it would be Skulk.
