Early Life
Campaign 1, Croak and Dagger
Lyra's early life is a mystery. Known only to Andol who was there with her at the Smiling Lord's castle. After the fire, Lyra and Andol were separated for some time, and could only afford to write every so often while evading capture. During this time, Lyra hopped from homeless shelter to homeless shelter, playing music for anyone who would listen or pay. She'd eventually work her way up to playing at taverns, but never anything more. Lyra's songs have a way of attracting people, comforting them. Whatever problems may be plaguing their lives, Lyra wanted to be a semblance of peace and comfort. Lyra spent the better part of her teenage years playing for table scraps and gold, or a discounted room out of the cold.
Lyra was an illusory disguise that Whisper created to infiltrate Croak and Dagger with Andol the Magnificent in their plot to steal the Black Dragon Mask. Whisper remained as Lyra for such a length of time that the fake personality, appearance, and fabricated memories manifested into a living, breathing entity. An illusion/disguise given life through incredible bardic magic. When Whisper dropped the disguise to reveal herself to Croak and Dagger, Lyra ceased to exist in all the ways that mattered. She had died.

At the town of Mourningstead, Lyra's songs caught the attention of her long-time friend, Andol. The two caught up over a song and some drinks. Lyra even challenged Andol to win her a prize if she was so important to him. And that's just what he did. Lyra was worried that after all that time, maybe Andol wasn't the same man she remembered, but the chemistry was still there. Despite some protesting, Andol convinced Lyra to join Croak and Dagger if even for a little. "How can I say no to you, Red?"

Canary Cry Lyra is capable of projecting and manipulating her soundwaves into ear-shattering cries.
When Croak and Dagger entered Andol's mind, they became unwitting props for Andol-0762 to use in the demiplane of Horizon. Illusory figures of their friends, allies, and enemies were created so as to perform and sell the paradise to Andol and friends. It was here that Lyra was reborn, with the same gap in memory as Croak and Dagger and fabricated memories of their lives before. Lyra was a member of the Outcasts, members of the Forsaken reskinned as hipsters, metalheads, and tech-nerds. As far as she remembered, Lyra was almost always on the move with her mom, who always seemed to land them in shelter after shelter dodging abusive boyfriends. When Lyra was old enough, she hitchhiked as far as she could from her old life with nothing but a guitar and a dream. Lyra landed in Horizon where she met the other Outcasts at a concert and immediately connected with them and ended up forming a band.

Inspiring Performer Lyra's performances enchant and curse audiences.
Lyra remembered Andol after Ivar was admitted to the hospital after a terrible incident with law enforcement. Sleepless and without an ounce of inspiration left to write, Lyra spent most of her time looking out the window or fighting the vending machine. To save another vending machine from Lyra's wrath, Andol began buying her food and taking her out to lunch. From there they grew close and eventually moved in together. The Outcasts welcomed Andol in like one of their own.

Trickster Spellcaster Lyra's spells vary from convincing illusions to sleep spells meant to put even the biggest, baddest creature to sleep with the snap of a finger.
When Vera had dropped the veil surrounding Croak and Dagger's memories, Lyra's own memories returned as well. Lyra was wrought with guilt as she remembered everything she did as Whisper's vessel and the horror on her friend's faces. She became hellbent on getting revenge on Whisper, but not before facing down the Director and forcing him to answer for Horizon and all its smoke and mirrors. When the Director, revealed to be Andol-0762, was defeated, Andol and Omerok went about trying to find a way to leave Andol's mind while still preserving Horizon's physical integrity. With the crumbling void of white nothingness quickly approaching them, and seeing Andol desperate to save Horizon, Lyra dedicated the last of her being to send a surge of inspiration through her guitar and into Andol. Saving Horizon but dying from the exertion.

Andol "Me and Red? Aww...we go way back yeah. We grew up together and went through some real shit as kids. The kind of shit that just bonds you for life, you know? He's a real fuckin' goof but I like that about him. He's honest and real which is more than I could say about a lot of folks."

Aiden "At first, I would of told you that if you stuck a lump of coal up this guy's ass, in a few hours you'd have a diamond. Aiden struck me as the "do the right thing, always keep your promises" type of badge. He still does, but Red and him are real tight. He's all Red talked about, and the more I see him work, I see why. Aiden's genuinely good when he's not ripping folks' arms off."

Clymene "Little lady is more nervous than tick in a barrel. Now, I don't get all the hate on Clem. I know she's messed up here and there, made a bad bet or two. But she just needs a sisterly hand is all. It's not to say that she can't show some damn restraint now and again. But I think some one on one time ought to get her on the right track. She's aces in my book."

Raiah "Look, we're giving each other plenty of space and being all nice and civil-like. Our boys are thicker than thieves, brothers now, but it don't mean we gotta be all sisterly. Where we're at right now is just fine."

Sayrax "What a cutie. She's always sitting and listening to me play. We don't talk much, but sometimes you don't need to, you know? Like, we connect through the music and shit and just sway together."

Backstory

Campaign 1, Croak and Dagger

Lyra was an illusory disguise that Whisper created to infiltrate Croak and Dagger with Andol the Magnificent in their plot to steal the Black Dragon Mask. Whisper remained as Lyra for such a length of time that the fake personality, appearance, and fabricated memories manifested into a living, breathing entity. An illusion/disguise given life through incredible bardic magic. When Whisper dropped the disguise to reveal herself to Croak and Dagger, Lyra ceased to exist in all the ways that mattered. She had died.

The Outcasts, Death
