Andol the Magnificent

Appearance

Andol is a fairly tall Half-Elf who has quite long brilliantly red hair, unusually so. His pale complexation is in stark contrast to both his red hair and his piecing gold eyes. Indeed there are those who claim that his elegant features, make him among the most handsome people they've ever had the pleasure of seeing. Others however, hold true to their claim that they've never seen a more punchable face in their lives. It should also be mentioned that Andol's left arm has sadly decided to move onto other things and is henceforth called "Cool Andol". Thanks to the efforts of fellow party member Omerok, Andol's regrown his left arm. After the events with Visera, Andol now has a tattoo of sorts on the back of his right hand, giving him access to magic once again.

Andol's usual outfit consists of a set of full purple robes with bits of golden embroidery found throughout, a pair of black pants (of which the robe usually covers), along with fairly mundane looking traveling shoes the color of ash. In addition a holy symbol of Goar along with an arcane focus of bronze and amethyst hang from his neck. His new Cloak of Billowing, is a deep purple which seems to glisten with the light of a thousand stars.

Equipment

Andol has a light crossbow currently his only form of defense, along with a dagger. Currently his three most important items are a cloak of billowing to help with his magnificent appearance, a bag of holding given to him by the late Barbatos just before he sacrificed himself to save Clymene (which was never taken away), and a ring called The Ring of the Grammarian which he used to great effect by changing up to two letters of a spell to change what they do. Sadly the last item was severely damaged and is unrepairable, from any means minus a Wish spell. As far as miscellaneous items go, he has a business card from "The Menagerie", an outfit from another time, a bracelet of friendship gifted by Aiden and a free song coupon from Lyra.

Powers, Abilities and Skills

• Bloodline: Previously had a Shadow Bloodline, along with a Draconic one. Both of which were sacrificed in order to keep a promise, and save those dear. Has just recently gotten a Clockwork Soul bloodline, thanks to the efforts of Visera and Legion.
• Eyesight: Can see 60ft in the dark, much less then he's used to.
• Longevity: As a Half-Elf, Andol is influenced by his elven side and likely has a lifespan twice as long a a pure human.
• Magical Aptitude: Has a deep knowledge of how to control and modify innate magical energy.
• Magnificence: While his looks are one faucet, Andol has the unexplainable phenomena of radiating an aura of Magnificence which augments his already significant charisma.
• Resistances: Due to his Elven ancestry, Andol has Resistance against attempts to Charm him while also being impossible to put to sleep through magical means.
• Silver-Tongued: Andol has an almost supernatural ability of using his charisma. Whether this is convincing people of a certain point of view, charming people without trying, or helping to convince a Faction to go to war for a faction they hate.

Relationships

• Aiden Thorin --"Couple things to say but lets start with the positive. He and Raiah are engaged which is great since the both of them could use some happiness in their lives. Not to mention that I'm apparently going to be an Uncle.... which is amazing, crazy and totally out of the left field. Gotta make sure that Aiden gets through this final conflict alive, he's got a family to get back to. Speaking of family, I'm concerned with how Aiden reacted with Hugo. I thought I was going to have to Wall of Force him. I suppose he's having trouble with the influence Malor had on him, guess it's therapy for the both of us."
• Aileen Lockheart --"One of my first thoughts when Omerok passed, was that at least he had an experienced friend in the Afterlife. Then I realized that he's dating Aileen's boss and wonder if that makes him rank above her, though it's probably different bran- Sorry got on a tangent there, been trying to figure somethings out so my mind just automatically analyses what I think about. I'm glad they've now both got a friendly face up there, lets make sure they're not joined for awhile."
• Avice Shiniami --"Soooo Avice is my sister, doesn't hate-hate me but likely absolutely hates Clymene. Thinks that people like us have to protect people, whether they want it or not. Guess that's Emperor Oswald's influence trinkling down the family line, at least she doesn't have magic so she won't be hun- oh never mind she does. Fanfuckingtastic, on top of this I have to debate over contacting them before I go off to perhaps get killed. Do I tell them that I'd like to get to know them better, hear about what their life was like, that I want to try and be there for them. When there's a decent chance I'll get killed or worse. No one told me that family was this complicated."
• Barbatos --"Barbatos it's been a while since our last 'talk', I wanted to let you know that Clymene did apologize to Vera though it took some convincing (dragging) to get Clymene to go to your home. Chubbs was doing well when I saw him a couple days ago, Vera is taking care of him. There's a lot I want to talk to you about, when this is all over I'll fill you in on what you missed. Things have gotten pretty crazy, but I just hope you're doing well."
• Bill and Ted --"I suppose I'll have to let them know that the scone business will likely have to close down. It's a shame, I thought it could bring joy to people, not to mention helping people down on their luck. I'm sure Bill and Ted will come up with another business plan soon enough, I'll see if I can help out. I owe it to them to at least try."
• Clymene --"Omerok told me that I need to stop just focusing on others and help myself, alongside accepting help from others, to stop doing things on my own. Why am I mentioning this in the 'Clymene' section of my journal? It's quite simple really, it's because I'm going to drag them to family therapy with me. If I have to do it, I'm sure as Hell dragging others who need it with me. See if I just tried going by myself I might never go, but by making it about helping someone else I trap myself into having to go. Clymene's gonna see that they're a badass rapid firing hero who helps others, and who others want to help themselves to. That's right Clymene you might think you're undesirable and pathetic but I've seen people glancing your way with interest. Is it as many glances as I get? No not at all, but I apparently produce "make everyone horny pheromones" or some other shit that explains what I deal with."
• Charles Harper --"Charles and I apparently buried the hatchet, I never had a hatchet in the first place but apparently its been buried for a while, so that's some actual good news. Have I called Charles a genius before? If not I'll call him one right now, man's got interesting ideas and theory's down to a science. He did propose making a weapon of sorts, which is new for him. I'm sure it's just trying everything before this final battle that's making him bend his policy a bit. Here's to a greater tomorrow Charles."
• Desdemona Nox --"So Desdemona say's she's not impressed with my drive and initiative, along with saying that I don't have to fulfil my end of the bargain since she doesn't really care. Which is totally fine, family doesn't always agree.... I think? I'm not super sure about family dynamics but I'm pretty sure Desdemona's my cousin.... Anyways, I'm still going to revive her daughter... Who may or may not be her actual daughter, so she might or might not be family? Doesn't really matter, I'm bringing her back and if Desdemona doesn't want her then I'll make sure she at least has a place to stay."
• Edgar Castille --"Ok Edgar is much easier to place then Desdemona, he's my Uncle and a pretty outstanding guy. He's a noble who actually does things and involves himself in politics when needed, despite not being the biggest fan. Which I can totally relate to, curse my bleeding heart. He also puts a lot of importance on family and cares deeply for it, at least from what I've seen and heard. I'm sure it'll be nice to talk with Edgar, when it's not about saving the world or other similar topics."
• Elvira Windhelm --"Nothing like a bit of persuasion and the threat of romantic abandonment to make a stubborn person finally commit to a relationship. I guess everything seems simple compared to my 4th dimensional romance situation. They make a cute but very intimidating couple. I do have to ask them if I can see how Javier is doing, since you know we now literally have evidence he was being controlled when the Forsaken attacked Meadowcraft."
• Hakim --"It's a bit suspicious how Hakim arrives and then a box holding Sheng-Lao food was on my table in the library with my name on it. Is this his way of telling me to take care of myself... or it could have been from Tuunbaaq, his sisters Subin/Somchai, what if it was Avice, wait could Shiro have somehow did this... Well anyway Hakim's under suspicion and if proven I'll have to pay him back somehow. That lunch was damn tasty."
• Hildr Firebrand --"Wait wait wait.... I'm just realizing that Hildr's grandmother may have had a thing going on with my mother. Which means that Hildr may have become my step sibling if Shiro survived, my family seems to get more and more complicated."
• Incineryn Blackpyre --"Incineryn I'm sorry I couldn't save you, it would have done Maribelle a world of good. I'll do my best to look after them, hopefully you have an easier time in the Afterlife then you did in life."
• Ivar Warborn --"Ivar's a victim of life just deciding to beat him down, with those in power not caring about his previous situation. No matter what he might be now, Ivar was a hero and that shouldn't be forgotten. I believe that part of him is still in there, it's just buried beneath hate, sorry, and guilt."
• Laura --"Wasn't expecting Aiden to chop your body into such a miserable state. But hey the world is done one very terrible necromancer and I hope that makes up for it. "
• Legion --"Legion's agreed to join the fight! This'll give us a much easier time freeing Nora/Goar. Not to mention that they seem to consider us as actual friends, which Omerok would have been ecstatic about. Lets make sure they make it through this war more intact then not."
• Logan Karstark --"People say we look alike, I personally don't see the resemblance at all. The common factor we both have is apparently terrible luck."
• Lumira Igne --"Thank god for Lumira, not only for her assistance running the healers section of C&D but for being more balanced in the mental department. Not using violence as the first answer and thinking things through, just keep being you Lumira."
• Lydia Redfort --"If other's in the Alliance were as hard working and responsible as her, well we'd not have to worry about everything falling apart when we're gone for a couple days. I hope she gets the happiness she wants in life, though I'll leave what it is there."

• Maribelle Blackpyre --"FUCK, I gave Maribelle hope that we could potentially save her sister and like always I failed. Sure they got to say some last words to each other, but is that even enough? Maribelle's already biting at the bit to take down her Mom and I'm worried they'll not look out for their own life in the process. I don't want to lose another member of my family so soon, I don't know if I can take it.... "
• Marilka Thyrnmur --"Marilka's going through more then any kid should have to, but they're doing a damn good job of staying strong. I'm hoping I'll be able to uphold my promise to her, have her talk with Ivar so we can end this without needless bloodshed."
• Oleza --"Oleza's the newest main addition to the team and she's an interesting one, being from another land only helps her in that regard. She's quite naïve and gullible however, so I'll try to help her if she gets in trouble due to those traits of hers. Hopefully she proof-reads what she writes in that journal of hers, or we're going to look.... interesting to her people if she ever releases her findings. She does seem to be a generally good person though, even If I don't think she realizes the severity of what we face and the possible risks that come along with it. Hopefully she never needs to..."
• Omerok --"Figures that right after we have a talk about how we both have issues with blaming ourselves among other things and decide to continue the conversation another time, he passes away. Life takes a shit in my breakfast again, it's like Life's had the spiciest food from Sheng-Lao and my existence is it's toilet. Anyway I hope he's having a relaxing time up there, he deserves nothing but the best and I'm going to try and make him proud."
• Qurouk Cluiekill --"Barely got to know the guy unfortunately, but from the little time I spent with him I could tell he had the best intentions for all of us. Sacrificed himself without a hint of hesitation, which is something that not many can do, no matter how much they boast. He left quite the fighter behind, I think he'd be proud of how far she's come."
• Raiah Theron --"So thankfully Raiah looks out for Hugo, he needs more people like that in his life. Also OMG she's pregnant, shit I better make sure she's not directly involved in the fight. Aiden wouldn't be able to focus at all if she was in the thick of combat, he gets distracted enough by Raiah as it is."
• Roland Castille --"Roland's view on accepting help from the Conclave if needed, was a breath of fresh air. Most of the Alliance's leadership seems extremely stubborn in...any regard when it involves the Conclave. Guess we're cousins now, though we haven't really interacted all that much after the fact."
• Sayrax - --"Sayrax....friend... what's been going on with you since I was ill disposed? You seem different, your mind is flighty and all over the place at times. I'll always be your friend but perhaps I should ask Visera if she has any idea what's going on with you."
• Shiro Shiniami - --"I was indirectly involved in getting Shiro killed, my mother killed, my mother who I didn't know was my mother killed, my mother who sent me forward in time to save me from my crazy grandpa killed, my mother who realized who I was when my father attacked her killed. Apparently we have some mind link magic bullshit, but good lord this situation just gets worse and more depressive."
• Skulk Greymind --"We saved Skulk's home and met his family, who are the nicest people ever. After this last battle he's going to retire from fighting and spend his time with his family. It sounds really nice and peaceful, I'll have to see if he can make me one of his carvings."
• Tuunbaaq Miastroth --"Tuunbaaq's rallied together the Free Folk into an army to help stop the end of this world. Damn, her and Craig really went all out and for once I didn't have to do a thing. Aileen this is the result of your selfless sacrifice, your giving us the ability to win this fight. Also her and Hakim named one of their kids after me, which is humbling and terrifying at the same time. Here's to us getting to have another meal together, I'm sorry that I worry them so much."
• Vera Blackmoore --"Vera is a saint for being able to put up with C&D and I'm not just talking about one or two of us. All of us seem to be broken in one way or another and Vera somehow has the patience to always be there to help. Then there was the whole Horizon incident where without her I'd still have none of my memories of C&D. I just wish she was able to experience Lyra like the rest of us did, she was locked away by 762 for most of the time and I can't imagine that was an enjoyable experience. She deserves something nice after this is all over, I'll see if I can't think of some ideas."
• Victor Salazaar --"Not the biggest fan of Victor but he's a skilled fighter, works hard, and is one of the more responsible members of C&D. We're lucky to have him, even if he glares at Aiden half the time when they're in the same room..."
• Visera Maelstrom - --"I was worried about how Visera was doing with their loss and then ironically enough they comfort me over my own. Visera is a force of nature that cares deeply for the things dear to her heart and the people she acknowledges, you just have to penetrate a mountains worth of titanium metal to see that yourself. it's led her to make some mistakes but always with the best of intentions, I guess we're similar in that sense. As a side note: I wonder if I should tell her that I can understand Modron, or just keep it to myself and see how long it takes them to notice."
• Whisper --"Dammit Whisper at least respond to one of my messages! We spent so long slowly lowering those walls you've had up for God knows how long, don't throw all of that progress away. I won't allow you to keep torturing yourself like this, I'm going to save you no matter what some all powerful entities want."
• Ygrid Ironborn --"You might be asking yourself "Hey Andol, why did you call her Yiggy when it obviously was a bad idea", well believe it or not that was kind of the point. From what I've seen a lot of Gods start to lose that part of themselves they had when they were mortal, that humanity and what makes them who they are. Now I don't know if it'll do anything, but I'm hoping that by annoying Ygrid and bringing her emotions to the forefront. It'll help keep the Ygrid that we know around, not just Kelemvor but Ygrid Ironborn. I think the Gods biggest weakness is losing their humanity and their understanding of mortal affairs."

• Andol is originally a character from a 3.5 campaign that fell apart, Goar was his familiar.
• The Magnificent is not the only Title Andol possess, just the most prominent one.
• Andol's favorite drink is now Dath'Karani, other wise known as "The Black Death". He might need some, after fighting Visera.
