Prayer of the Refugee
Very little is known about Ivar's childhood, only that he was born in the Frostback Basin region of the Icewind Dales pre-Jotunrath to Goliath Chieftain Boudeca Warborn. As a consequence of Boudeca's betrayal of Ygrid during the Seven Year War, Ivar and his mother were exiled but were given refuge by the Human Council in the Alliance territories. There is even less information on Ivar's life in a post-Seven Year War Alliance. Ivar's trail ends somewhere upon his and Boudeca's arrival in the Alliance. There were a number of reported sightings of Ivar in Kartenheim, Commonstead, a number of other cities in the viking territories of the Alliance. These recorded reports and stories are either speculation, have been redacted, or destroyed in any collection entirely. But it all ends in the Alliance's supermax prison, the Maw. It was there that he, K'jalis, and Whisper started the Forsaken.

We Are Forsaken
Ivar is one of the founders and leaders of the Forsaken. He is described as a cold, callous, often violent individual with little regard for the lives his mad band of anarchists have claimed. If an obstacle doesn't yield to Whisper's charming songs and magic, then Ivar rends it bent, battered, and broken. Ivar displays little patience for everyday inconveniences and is almost inconsolable in his most violent fits of rage seen only by Whisper and a select few. His disregard for innocent life and almost performative displays of violence earned Ivar the nickname, Ivar the Red, amongst allies and enemies alike.

Astral Goliath. Due to either his sheer speed and strength, or some supernatural, unforeseen connection, Ivar is capable of breaching the barrier between the Astral and Material Planes. Once he does this, Ivar is capable of crossing the habitable pockets of the astral plan and appearing in different locations. Ivar is also able to absorb and imbue himself with this astral energy, granting him incredibly terrifying powers and features including summoning meteor storms and firing beams from his eyes.

Adapt and Survive. Ivar's multiple encounters with adventuring parties and bounty hunters has allowed him to learn, adapt, and fight against multiple individuals with varying talents. He is able to pick out the many classes that adventuring parties have, their talents, their weaknesses, and adapt his fighting strategy as needed.

City Smasher. Ivar possesses astounding, almost supernatural speed, flight, strength, and endurance. He is capable of breaking the sound-barrier, felling small buildings with his fists, punching airships out of the sky, and withstanding even the mightiest blows from opponents. Ivar is one of the first of his kind in a world of dragons and magic.

Aiden "All that power is wasted on you, Aiden. You insult yourself by continuing to parade around the way you do. Tying yourself to the deadweight that is Croak and Dagger. I took only a minimal amount of satisfaction in crushing your skull. You see, I needed to humble you. I needed to break you to make you stronger. So if you ever wake up, come find me.."

Andol "Laughable. What did all that planning get you?"
* Ivar's abilities are modelled after the likes of Superman, Homelander, and Omni-Man and is the first, and currently only, to possess the ability to hit hard enough to ignore any immunities to bludgeoning damage.

Hildr "I had really high hopes for you, Hildr. I thought you understood. I really did. Now look at you, wasting away and tying yourself up with the likes of Croak and Dagger. Your single greatest accomplishment being outlasting them all those months ago in some unimportant, pointless fight."
* Ivar was named after Ivar the Boneless from the Vikings television series

Appearance

Ivar is described as having rough, calloused, scarred features from years of fighting. His body is a tapestry of failed attempts to kill him. He's described as being over eight feet tall with pale skin, ember reddish-brown eyes, and dark, reddish hair. A rare genetic mutation in Goliaths. If his sheer size wasn't enough to identify him, Ivar was described as having a deep-tissue scar along the left side of his face that gives his jaw a bit of a deformed look. Ivar's quiet, contemplative presence with his intimidating stature has silenced rooms full of people.

Backstory
