Elvira is described as a tall, toned Half-Elf with tomboyish features and a pride to her step. She has dark brown hair that is cut short on the sides and combed back on top into an undercut. Elvira's yellowish-brown eyes have a judgmental stare to them that strikes fear into the hearts of recruits. Distastefully, people call it ‘resting bitch face’.

Early Life
Hit Like a Girl
Elvira is the bastard daughter of King Windhelm and an unknown human woman. She grew up in the village of Yulyu and was raised by her uncle. Elvira’s uncle taught her to never settle, to always reach for excellence, and that being a bastard, and a woman, meant her best wouldn’t be good enough. Not in the eyes of the Elves.

She was raised by her uncle Martus who taught her to never settle, to always reach for excellence, and that being a bastard, and a woman, meant even her best wouldn’t be good enough. Not in the eyes of the Elves. Elvira endured the stern, watchful eye of the others in her village, and when she was old enough she left the village to confront her father. The King of the High-Elves himself.

The Thunderbolts
Elvira was the last member of the Thunderbolts. She met Hildr Firebrand and the others while they were passing through her camp. Thinking they were bandits, Elvira ambushed them and put up a fight, but was quickly cornered. Elvira explained that she was on her way to Val-Adin to confront her father and join the military. She joined the Thunderbolts on their journey east. With the Thunderbolts, Elvira found a group of likeminded rebels with which to grow close with and learn under. Elvira grew especially close with Hildr, with whom she developed romantic feelings for. They would exchanged books and poems, then discuss them over campfires and even read to one another. Despite her feelings towards Hildr, Elvira rejected her and chose to stay on the path towards Val-Adin. When Elvira did reach Val-Adin, she gave Hildr one last book. The contents of which are unknown. Elvira did promise Hildr and the other Thunderbolts, that the next time her they saw her, she would be an officer.

Military Career
Elvira became the first Female, and first Half-Elf, to join the upper echelon of the Val-Adin’s Counter-Terrorism Unit, the Jaeger Corp. She joined the 2% of her class that had passed the grueling physiological tests and would later go on to be their Commander. Elvira’s acceptance into the special forces was met with jeers and laughter from her haters, but like she did her whole life, she blocked out the noise and strived for excellence. Her position has inspired younger generations of orphans, bastards, and outcasts to fight and strive for greatness like she did.

Inspiring Presence. Elvira has a cold, concentrated demeanor which trickles down to her men. Every swing of a blade, every volley, every step taken is a calculated chess move. Her arrival usually signals the arrival of the Jaeger Corp. Their enemies best not even show up.

Warrior of the Wilds. Elvira has a mastery of utilizing magic from the Feywild to aide her in combat. She uses this to enhance her blades and armor, and even summon a large, shield-wielding, spirit guardian.

Legendary Duelist. At her core, Elvira is a duelist. She has a legendary mastery at dueling, primarily fencing. Like her tactics on the field, Elvira is calculated and always one step ahead of her opponents. Some have taken to calling her the Queen of Blades.

Relationships
Elvira's introduction to Croak and Dagger was less than ideal, as she was first seen berating Clymene's mother Atalanta, and called all warriors from Yulyu 'sparsely dress whores'. She bet Atalanta that her second-in-command Raiah Theron could best Clymene in the afternoon's archery duel, which Clymene would go on to win in a sudden-death paintball match against Raiah. Beneath Elvira's crude, abrasive exterior was a woman who wanted nothing less than the best for those like her. In Clymene, Elvira saw herself and went on to push Clymene physically and mentally, challenging and confronting her at every interaction. This would not go as Elvira planned, as she eventually gave up and continued her pursuit of individuals involved with the Hex drug problem in Val-Adin.

Atalanta "A pleaser, a follower, a yes-man. Atalanta loves to squash pretty things wherever she goes, her and the rest of the leaders at Yulyu. Of course when you stand up to her and give her a proper shove, you see she's just an insecure little Wood Rat that scurries when startled. When I picture Atalanta, it's with a bootheel to my neck. Well, now I'm wearing the boot, Atalanta."
Elvira's investigation eventually aligned with Croak and Dagger's growing war with the Forsaken. Forced to align with them, Elvira slowly allowed herself to be vulnerable with and work alongside Croak and Dagger, whom she grew to have nothing but the highest praise for. Elvira remains dutifully loyal to the party especially after their continued will to fight when all seemed lost in the aftermath of the Forsaken attack on Meadowcraft.

Clymene "An anxious, neurotic little thing she is. If she could stop and collect herself for a second, she'd see how much potential she has. I see a little bit of myself in Clymene. If she can step out from beneath her village's shadow, there's no stopping her growth. She just has to take those, terrifying first steps.."
Miscellaneous Facts
Hildr "Hildi is a big softie, but Gods don't you ever call her that to her face. We used to exchange copies of those obnoxiously glamourous romance novels and read to each other when everyone else was asleep. We'd go swimming or sneak into balls. I really miss that. I miss her. Not that...who she is now is a problem. We're just two completely different people now is all."
* Elvira has only made three attacks during the entire campaign and is among the least used NPC combatants in initiative-based combat.

Raiah "I haven't seen someone as hard on themselves, as consciously driven to excel, as Raiah has. I put her through hell when she joined because I was going to hold her to a higher standard than the rest of the recruits. She was like me, thinking she was special, that she'd be one of the first female Jaegers. That's why I was so hard on her. I tell women in the Jaeger Corp that our value will always be less than that of men, so we will work twice as hard to be recognized. Raiah met all those standards and is an invaluable member of the Corp, an a very good friend."
* Elvira wields two dueling sabers and has a fighting ferocity reminiscent of Wrath from Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.

Roman "I see the way Roman looks down at me. I'm walking evidence that his immaculate father, the high king of all High Elves, made a mistake. Well, I won't apologize and certainly won't stop excelling just because he's jealous. Women should be heard, seen, and feared in my case."
* Elvira was originally supposed to have a French or German accent, but when she was introduced I accidentally gave the accent to one of her officer's instead. Her neutral accent ended up sticking.

Tuunbaaq "My former second-in-command. There's a sad, if not haunting story. Tuunbaaq's drive turned into...fanaticism. The things I've seen her do under my command border on outright psychotic. I often ask myself if there's something different I could have done, if I could have steered Tuunbaaq away from whatever path she's on."

Backstory

Hit Like a Girl

Elvira is the ilegimate daughter of Jaonos Windhelm and an unknown human woman.

During her journey, Elvira encountered the Thunderbolts and mistook them for bandits looting her not-so-hidden camp. Elvira ambushed them and put up a fight, but was quickly cornered. Elvira explained that she was on her way to Val-Adin to confront her father and join the military. She joined the Thunderbolts on their journey east for as long as it took for her to reach Val-Adin, or gain the courage to confront her father. Campaign 1, Heroes for Hire
