The community the Tortles built remains a relaxing getaway spot from the hustle and bustle of the bigger cities. Visitors are able to relax on the warm beaches with a local beverage in hand, taste exotic, freshly caught cuisine, and or go for a swim in the cleansing salty waters just to name a few amenities. When a local fisherman was asked where the villagers got the name for the village from, he said, &#039;&#039;&quot;Well, we&#039;re by the ocean. And the ocean is salty. So...we called it Salt Bay. Because nobody wants to go to a place called Salt Ocean, right? So, hey now, are you going to buy some fish?&quot;&#039;&#039;<br /> <br /> =Government=<br /> The Salt Bay is led by a local council who handle tourism and a well-respected shaman who communes with the water. Daily morning meetings are held to discuss everyday business and if the water will be safe for fishing later in the day.<br /> <br /> =Defenses=<br /> While it might appear no real defenses exist for the Salt Bay, villagers say the shamans are adept in summoning creatures from the ocean should anyone disturb the peaceful village.<br /> <br /> =Notable Locations=<br /> &#039;&#039;&#039;The Steam Baths&#039;&#039;&#039;<br /> A small section of forests carved out just north of the village where visitors can relax in therapeutic hot springs. The springs are said to have incredible healing properties that loosen muscles, help arcane flow, and bring all around good vibes to bathers.</div>
