A Goliath who had seen the atrocities of the Human's Goliath-Hunting Parties up close. Sven's clan was renowned for their horseback-riding and hunting prowess. Their territory had remained untouched for the longest time as the parties feared the ghosts in the darkness that scalped soldiers alive, hushed whispers carried along the wind. They were nicknamed Windtalkers.

Sven worked as a slave for a plantation owner who used him as a translator between his slaves and the masters. When Sven up and left one day, his master sent a hunting party after him. It was during this chase that Sven met [[Craig Firebrand]], who didn't even need to think twice before coming to Sven's aid. Proficient in common and a natural born survivalist, Sven kept Craig out of trouble and helped him travel to Meadowcraft. From there they recruited [[Edgar Castille]] and started the Rangers of Oakvale.
