The '''Saints of Otaria''' are a religious organization based in [[Commonstead]]. They are and lead by [[Aeor|Listener Aeor]] and are very wealthy.

==Biography==
The Saints of Otaria was initially a small religious sect found in Commonstead with little formal organization.
At one point a drow woman named Aeor joined the church and became the Listener, leading the group.
The Saints have since grown to rival the wealth and renown of followings of [[Pelor's Light]] and the [[Divine Imperium]].
As part of this growth, they have increased their influence over the surrounding city of Commonstead, which has itself grown because of the Saints.
Members (referred to as Saints) pay a tithe and many attend sermons given given by the Listener at their headquarters, a massive cathedral in Commonstead. Many are known to donate large sums of money, even their homes and belongings.
Outside of religious services, there is some evidence of the Saints offering loans with extreme interest rates.

While searching for information about [[Yulyu]] in the [[Noble Agency]], [[Omerók]] learned that Yulyu's debt to [[Val-Adin]] was paid off by Monolith Financial of the [[Realm's Bank]], who in turn was being paid by the Saints of Otaria for the debt.

==Beliefs==
The Saints believe they are lead by a council of ghosts called the '''Council of Otaria'''. The Council speaks their beliefs and demands to one person chosen by them called the '''Listener'''. The Listener then preaches this to the masses. They believe every Saint who dies goes on to live immortally as a member of the ghost council themselves.
