	Roland lived in his brother Matthew’s shadow in their early childhood. Matthew was taller, faster, stronger, and much better looking. Being a Castille meant holding yourself to high standards, and performing even higher acts of service. Roland was always competing to stand out, where Matthew just naturally excelled and received praise. The competition meant the two were always trying to one up one another whether it was one extra lap around the camp or a ~~maiden~~ from a ~~richer side of Meadowcraft asking you~~ to the ~~formal gala~~. Roland has the young physique and height of a proper knight, but again like again, carries himself humbly. Often called a pretty-boy by Griffon, Roland maintains proper care of himself as an example to his soldiers.
