Formed some time in the mid-late 1500s, the '''Free Folk''' are a union of nomadic and native Wood Elf clans from across the continent of Faerun. When the first cities arose, and world powers drew property lines, it was no surprise to anyone that the safety and preservation of native species and villages were the last thing on leaders' minds. The Free Folk became the first recorded group of a nomadic, tribal race banding together and remain the largest council of tribes, matched only by the '''Noble Goliath Houses'''. The Free Folk look out for one another, aiding in times of great duress such as famine, war, or hostile displacement at the hands of a world power. They are a group that sticks closely to their roots and traditions, and preserves a rich history of Elvish magic, and freedom to wander and discover.
