At a young age, Crowley directly exposed himself to pestilence and disease so that he may record how they affect organic life. This cost Crowley any semblance of dashing good looks, but got him the results he wanted. Crowley is an experimental, if not controversial, scientist that has been seen going into diseased towns and low-income alienages and curing everything from necrotizing flesh to long bouts of madness. His eerie plague-doctor uniform grants him some protection to diseases he isn't immediately familiar with.
