Kingdom of Goldmask
The Kingdom of Goldmask is one of the largest civilizations in the world.

It is where most of the campaign takes place.
History
In the final years of the Valor Era, the King of Goldmask (whose true name is lost to time) was an explorer sent from the Maelstrom Empire. Somewhere on this expedition, he found the Gold Mask. When he donned it, he realized its power and attempted to contact the higher-ups in the Maelstrom Empire, not knowing the Empire was mid-collapse. At that point the King decided to found the Kingdom. The founding of the Kingdom marked the beginning of the Golden Era.
The Kingdom grew and as it did, other nearby nations joined, either by diplomacy or war. These would become the other regions of the Kingdom, outside the Gilded Bay.
Organization
The Kingdom is lead by the King of Goldmask and is a feudal society, with power being delegated to rulers of smaller territories. The Kingdom is split into five regions, known as the Five Kingdoms, each with its own government, but is still loyal to the mask. Each region is lead by a Governor, and assisted by a Protector and Steward.
