Protector is a role in each of the five regions of the Kingdom of Goldmask. They are in charge of defending the region from internal and external threats. Usually this means leading the region's military, but some take a more hands-on role. The Protector of a region is given the title Sir.
Current Protectors include

- Sir Kazar the Younger of Okirbom
- Sir Virtue of Stormhold
- Sir Ormund gro-Bitters of the Vermeil Coast
- Sir Wellyn of the Northern Realms
