The Cinderdalian Revolution (or Cinderdalian Revolutionary War) was a war between Cinderdale, under the new leadership of Cyrus I, and the Kingdom of Goldmask.

History

On 30 Second Seed 820, Cyrus, a prince of Cinderdale who was the son of King Azar III, stormed into the throne room in Mudwell with a squad of soldiers loyal to him. The royal guard were away at the time for unknown reasons. Cyrus challenged his father to a duel. Azar accepted and Cyrus struck down the old man with ease. Cyrus took the throne and immediately declared Cinderdale once again an independent kingdom, free from the Kingdom of Goldmask.

The following day, Swanguard, which was seen as a bastion of safety in the Kingdom, was taken by Cinderdale in a surprise attack. Defenses throughout both kingdoms were subsequently heightened. Walls were built around every city and village in the region, and strategic positions like the Rollis Bridge (which would grow into a village of refugees as the war went on) were sent soldiers to patrol them. At one point in the war, the village of Sigmund's Sinkhole was razed.

A ceasefire was called for Life Day at the end of 822. Over the next few days negotiations would be held and on 8 Morning Star 823, the two kingdoms would officially agree to a white peace where Cinderdale would gain its independence. Tensions are still high on both sides.
