Deities (or gods) are entities of great power that control some aspects of mortals lives.
Due to the Divine Pact, however, their power is limited to being given to clerics.
In addition to deity worship, many cultures also practice ancestor worship.

Dark Triumvirate
Lolth, Tiamat, Vall make up the Dark Triumvirate. Worship of these gods is often shunned and discouraged, leading them to be worshiped in secret. This commonality united these gods and their followers, forming the Dark Triumvirate.
Elder Gods
Cyric, Jergal, Oghma, Pelor, Rend, and Xox are the Elder Gods, as they have always been gods. The other gods were once mortals but have ascended to godhood.
