It was a desecrated former temple to [[Moradin]], covered in spiderwebs with hundreds of tarantuala-sized spiders crawling throughout, and with bodies hanging from the ceiling wrapped in webbing. 			The party briefly debated whether they should help Rizzeryl or kill him, but they decided in the end to help him down and heal him. Weary from his new transformation, Rizzeryl came to and began to answer the party's questions. Rizzeryl was formerly the consort of T'rissa Auvryndar, but upon arriving on this level he was punished by her for reasons he didn't know, transforming him into this form. Because of this, Rizzeryl renounced his ties to House Auvryndar, but not to Lolth. This caused some tension with Mort, but the two agreed to put their differences aside for now.

			Rizzeryl, after being healed by TGA and Falconladle Force, began to tell the party more of what he knew about House Auvryndar on this level. He said that T'rissa, Sylkress, and Pellanonia Auvryndar were on this level, and the party recalled that they killed T'rissa and one other drow leader. The main forces of House Auvryndar were on the 10th level of the dungeon, Muiral's Gauntlet, and T'rissa was probably brought there, possibly to be revived as a high priestess of Lolth.

			The parties and Rizzeryl continued through the temple, entering a room of prison cells. In one cell off to the side, Rizzeryl was distraught to find that "the oracle" was missing. He explained that one of the wererats had the gift of the oracle and could see glimpses of the future, and that House Auvryndar must have taken her with them. The row of other cells in the room Rizzeryl said to ignore.

			In the first two were a human man from the surface city of Drain, unaware of how he got there but scared and hungry, and in the second was a stoic hobgoblin soldier from the Legion of Azrok named [[Lurrash]]. Pop and his Friends (which the party was introduced to them as) freed these two, and Lurrash (seeing the party wasn't going to do lead him out) agreed to take the scared human back to the Legion in Stromkuhldur.

			In the last three cells were three drow men, each of them still fiercely loyal to House Auvryndar despite everything and planning a misguided attack on the party in T'rissa's name. Vala and Mort killed them all, even after the others began to comply after the death of the first.

			The parties continued through the temple to Rizzeryl's promised way out, past several now-empty torture chambers to a lounge area with an abyssal runic circle of blood and entrails in the center. This was a portal to the Abyss where drow can prove their devotion with the Test of Lolth. Rizzeryl asked for a dagger and used his own blood to complete the circle, thanking the party before teleporting away in a flash of red.

			Once again directionless, the parties continued down a supernaturally windy tunnel to the south a paper blew by, with numbers corresponding to each party member as before, but with Vala now with the highest "ratings".

Professor [[Phranz Mir-Dir-Phukkir]], a githyanki researcher, crawls out of the wreckage. Seeing that he is new to the material plane, Vala offers to guide Phranz out through the mountains.

			While Artie, Pop, Mort, and the members of Falconladle Force looted the thousands of copper in the chimera's hoard, Vala cast a speak with animals spell. She went down the hallway to the section of the Stromkuhldur ruins where the spiders resided. Initial attempts at communication proved fruitless, but when Vala touched their web several spiders descended upon her. The spiders were mistrusting, telling Vala to stay away from their home. While they talked, Mort prepared a fire bolt behind Vala in the hallway in case things turned violent. Unfortunately, one of the spiders saw this and freaked out. The spiders ran off into the city with one of them grabbing Vala, after which the party attacked.

			TGA and Falconladle Force made their way through the ruins, fighting the giant spiders. Mir-Dir-Phukkir threw a torch into the webs, causing a fire that quickly spread throughout the webbed ruins. Vala, meanwhile, was carried off into one of the nearby buildings where the spider wrapped her in the web, but freed herself with a thunderwave spell. Mort found a kitchen with a still-hot stew in a cauldron, a locked building, and building with a turquoise vein carved to look like a stream with granite trout. No drow were encountered in the city, but there were a few grimlocks and quaggoths. After Fang cleared a path through the fire, Pop reached the room Mort was in as Mort unintentionally solved the puzzle which activated a basin in the room. In it, they found a small fish-shaped emerald. Mort asked the Heart about this, and it said the Melairkyn dwarves were known to disguise magic items as creatures.

			Amidst the burning spiderwebs, the party continued to fight their way through the ruins. Quickly the group cleared out the rest of the ruins, including the quaggoths caught in the fire. They went through the ruined buildings until one of them had [[Rikzar Keniryn\|a drow scout]] burst out and try to run from the party. Instead he was knocked unconscious and captured, tied to the horse-wild-shaped Vala as the party progressed down the hall. Eventually they came across a small hallway with a large stone block in the center. They realized this was a trap that triggered long ago and crushed some poor goblin, and that the ornate door beyond this hall could only be opened by a dwarf.

			Unsure of where to go next, the party healed the drow to interrogate him. Mort was going to waterboard the drow before Fang stopped him. Threats proved ineffective, but when the party showed mercy and sympathy for the life of a male drow from Menzoberranzan, he revealed a bit of information. He was sent to retrieve the rest of House Auvryndar's valuables if he could from this level after the rest of the drow fled deeper into the Undermountain, likely without much expectation that he would actually return. When he was running he was trying to go south to the Sargauth River, thinking that would his best bet of escaping. To the north where the party fought [[T'rissa Auvryndar]] was the temple to Lolth on this level. Artie gave him some gold for a stay in the Yawning Portal and the party let the drow flee toward the surface.
