[[Alekios]] founded the kingdom of [[Cinderdale]] from the city in [[22 GE]].

It remained the capital city of Cinderdale until the [[Burning-Banner War]] in [[797 GE]], when the royal family moved to [[Mudwell]].

When [[Cyrus]] took control of the country in the [[Cinderdalian Revolution]], several cities and villages were renamed to honor past leaders of Cinderdale. Clackum Falls was named Hieron after [[Hieron the Beloved]].
