A neutral faction aimed at stopping wars and conflicts before they begin, the Bonded Banner Diplomats hold themselves to a high standard all throughout the realm. While the faction is small, each member is required to have notable positions on war councils and talk committees, representing their home country. As a neutral faction, their allegiance is to the peace and wellbeing of the citizens of the realm, despite the fact that they serve military councils. They act as lobbyists, diplomats and peaceful activists who simply remind leaders whom they serve that war does not bring peace, it brings death and suffering.

These diplomats organize peace treaties, peaceful talks and discussions, as well as world meetings to ensure an air of peace is constantly maintained. In order to maintain this, members must keep in constant contact, sometimes jeopardizing the secrecy that they have sworn to uphold. They are willing to break this, as they believe a secret could be the start of a war.

However, many Bonded Banner Diplomats are seen as a security breach by many nations, as they are willing to reveal secrets to one another to ensure that their goals of peace are maintained.

In the year 1711, a member of the Bonded Banner Diplomats working under Forge King Undular, leader of Baelrum, revealed a secret to a fellow member working for the Thenalion Empire. This secret, a plan enacted by the Dwarves of Baelrum to send saboteurs into Elvish tank factories was uncovered by counterspies, who cornered a Bonded Banner Diplomat to reveal. Luckily, other members of the organization rushed to ensure that both leaders were at a table discussing rather than firing guns and explosives at one another. It was discussed, talked over, and both diplomats in question were put on trial and sent to the Dark Forge for the crime of leaking top secret evidence to a collaborator.

This event, and near conflict placed the Bonded Banner Diplomats under a lot of stress. Many courts removed diplomats of this caliber from their councils, seeking those who wish to actually serve the nation, and not jeopardize the security of that land.

In the year 1762, the Bonded Banner Diplomats have reformed, but have became a peace activist group rather than a high-standards diplomacy organization.

Insignia

The original symbol of the Bonded Banner Diplomats was that of a broken sword with a peace flag waving behind it. In the year 1710, it was remade to be a broken rifle instead of a sword.
