Carta Cartel

One of the largest crime families in the Alliance. The Carta Cartel are led by Emilio and Esteban Carta, two brothers that got their start as small-time pirates and smugglers on the high seas. The Carta Brothers lied, cheated, and backstabbed their way to the top of the criminal underworld. With a wide smuggling network believed to span half the Alliance, the Carta Cartel makes thousands off the misfortune, addictions, and rivalries of their clients. They've sold weapons to both sides of a conflict, then swept in and took the businesses for themselves. The Carta Cartel has the smuggling business cornered and makes quick work of any competition.

It's been revealed that the Carta Brothers went into business with the Meridian Club and Nightsisters to help flood the Alliance with Hex, a dangerous synthetic drug that simulates the high given by casting a spell.
